Southern Pacific 4449

I have a couple of puzzles of the 844, when in was in Phoenix, back in Nov. of 2011. Click on my name to see them.

@douglasfur - I hope you realize that the photo you have here also includes the Union Pacific F-E-F-3 Class 4-8-4 No. 844?! This is a photo from the Pacific Northwest Double-header event in the 1990's where SP No. 4449 and UP No. 844 ran excursions up and down the West Coast between Washington and Oregon, and each locomotive took turns leading the train. In fact, when No. 844 was leading, the SP got renumbered to UP No. 844-B. Funny that it didn't occur when 4449 was leading that 844 was never renumbered to SP No. 4449-B.
