I'll have to look later on. My eyes have recovered a little from being dilated, but not back to "normal" yet....

wjl1015

I'll take it! Just rest up Ellen. Did you see my earlier comment? :))

PutterDutt

Too many comments to read with dilated eyes, but you should warm up fast, Joe. Maybe if I sent Plum to you? She's a mdium sized hot child.....but she tends to stomp on sensitive parts. Cuddle with caution, but she'll warm you right up.

wjl1015

Yeah, it's Catch-22.......

oldandancient

What's bad is when you drink too much, you have to use the restroom and that means exposing yourself to the cold. LOL. not funny really.

wjl1015

I'm having coffee now, but I would love some of that!!! Thanks (((Donna)))!!!! :))

oldandancient

Joe, you look miserable, like you need a cup of hot chocolate or tea or something hot. I can dig out some homemade vegetable soup out of the freezer and heat it up for you.

oldandancient

If the temperature drops, it takes me days to acclimate and get used to it. I know what cold to the bone feels like. I'm about that way now. We do keep our indoor temps to 67 degrees in the winter, 74 in the summer, so we dress in layers. But our heating vents are in the ceiling and just above the computer. So my right hand on the mouse tends to freeze. Plus my nose. I usually wear a hoodie in the house when it's cold.

wjl1015

It's a balmy 15 F here Clive! And VERY cold at night like Iris said!! BRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!

oldandancient

You can keep your cold, you can keep your snow. I'm too old to deal with it. The cold wind in my sinuses and I'm done for.

wjl1015

I don't either Donna! It's worse now though, the cold goes down to the bone!!!

@PutterDutt It may just be me, but do you and I have the same expression on our face????

CJ45

Well we are having a mild day 4 Deg C = 38 Deg F but means we have the heating on.

irisriver

Donna for you teens at night is about like our zeros and below.

oldandancient

We were in the teens last night and tonight it will be the same. Today it is 32 and very windy. I'm not going out. I don't do cold very well.

irisriver

Will try to stay warm. We went to -5 in the night. Brrr!♥☺

wjl1015

Thank you Ruby!! :))

I will have to do that Bonnie! Thank you!! :))

Stay warm today @irisriver !! :))

ruby18

Hi again, Joe. I agree about the blood thinners, which I have to take, too. I have a father-in-law to my son, who says exactly the same thing, and he keeps his house really hot to try and avoid this.

manicpuzzler

Joe, get yourself a sheepskin rug to cover the bottom and back of the chair to sit on. It reflects the heat back at you. Layers of natural fibre fabrics, silk is good, as it keeps you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Stay warm and safe ((((Warming Hugs)))).

oldandancient

Thanks, Iris. Stay warm. It's turning colder here as well. Down to 45. Going down to the 20's tonight. That's cold enough for me.

irisriver

Well done Donna! Take care Joe! Going to be dreadful tonight. My computer is in the coziest part of house. Good reason to be on Jigidi. ♥

mackabroin

lol john.......perfect match
golly joe.......I sure hope that warm afghan can keep the cold out....you really do look a tad under the weather.....keep warm....and "stay out of trouble"......lol......if you can.....

jals

John, I think you nailed it. When I saw this picture, that is the image that it conjured for me as well.

Joe,
So sorry you're cold. My hands and feet get cold, probably have horrible circulation, but the rest of me is cold then hot, cold then hot. I'm constantly putting a sweater on and then taking it off 5 minutes later. Hot drinks help too.
Thanks for sharing the picture. :-))

OH MY GOSH! Forgive me my Lord! I knew not that we were in the presence of royalty....

"He wore a blue wrap to warm his head, a long knitted cloak, in the presence of a mighty computer. He had a long white beard and bushy eyebrows that stuck out beyond the brim of his hat."

Originally named Olórin ("Dreamer" or "Of Dreams"), he is an Istar (wizard), sent by the West in the Third Age to combat the threat of Sauron. Armed with only Big Macs and McFlurrys, Olórin was able to trap Sauron in the bathroom where Sauron deposited his lunch laced with modified food starch, phosphates, lizard legs and turkey tongues. Good job Joe (your secret is safe with me, Gandalf - wink wink nod nod). Bilbo and I are extremely proud of you!

oldandancient

Thank you, Redina.

wjl1015

Doing my best to stay warm Donna!! :))

Thank you Redina!! :))

Donna's afghan is really beautiful, and looks good on you. Still praying for you and your family. :)

oldandancient

Glad to see it's being put to good use. I don't miss those Ohio winters at all. The old farm house we had when we lived there was a bear to heat up when it got down to near 0. We were lucky if the indoor temps got to 55. We would pull out the sofa bed, hang out on it with sleeping bag on top of us and watch tv and drink hot chocolate. The last winter we were there before we moved South had 6 weeks of temps hovering between 20 and -20. Back and forth with snow in between. I got bronchitis that winter and could not get rid of it. Had lots of snow to shovel every time I turned around, plus trying to keep warm. We visited friends in NC that summer and came to the beach. Fell in love with the ocean and moved. Stay warm, Joe.

wjl1015

I can't wait for that day myself Judy!! Thank you!! :))

jeribar8

Maybe put a space heater under your desk...... ~ ❤️~

Juba1010

Sorry you’re so uncomfortable. I look forward to seeing you back with the guitar in hand in the near future Joe. (((Joe)))

pasta

Oh Joe, you do look miserable. Do you have a little space heater? Hugs dear friend.☺♥♥

wjl1015

Yep, and I use it daily!! Trying to keep warm and comfy is a full time job!! :))

Juba1010

Do you have a heating pad you could put under all that?

wjl1015

Good advice!

rswestley

Joe, my advice... don't be wearin' that hoody outside at night, you might get arrested for impersonating a hooligan

wjl1015

Not running a fever (I checked), but I'm on blood thinners so I'm colder than normal.......

morepiecesplz

Joe - seriously, if you've done all this and Liz is ok, are you running a fever? You might need to go to Urgent Care or the ER...just to be safe...

wjl1015

I have one of those on my back most days, but just a little shiver hurts like crazy!! Thanks MPP!! :))

morepiecesplz

That is just pathetic!! Here again, I praise my air-activated heat patches. I use the ones designed for pain relief, but they're modeled after - or the same as - those hand warmers people in cold regions...wait...that would be you... are familiar with. Pathetic! But colorful and stylish..!

wjl1015

Thank you BB!! Yes my feet are warm. The afghan was a gift from Donna @oldandancient and is very warm!! :))

nanab

Joe - That's a beautiful afghan and your hooded sweatshirt must be warm. The other place to keep warm is your feet, I hope you're wearing wool socks and slippers. I know I'm not your mother so that's all from me, except for one last thing - Keep Smiling. BB

CJ45

Is it really -11 Deg C. ?

wjl1015

Hugs are always welcome!!!! :))

puzzeljac

Oh boy, poor Joe, does it help if I send some hugs? ♥♥♥♥♥☼☼☼♥♥♥♥♥☼☼☼♥♥♥♥♥

lefty50

Good grief, Joe, turn around to the computer and close those windows!

CJ45

Goodness me Sir Joe have you no central heating. ?

ruby18

Oh, my dear Othername - join the club! I have a collection of blankets and wraps which I use each time I sit down because I feel the cold dreadfully. My best Christmas present was a fluffy warm dressing gown from one of my sons. It has a hood, too!!
