In Today's Daily Jigsaw Puzzle, we visit Bad Wimpfen. Bad Wimpfen is a picturesque town in the Baden-Württemberg region of Germany, known for its well-preserved medieval old town, thermal springs, and rich history. This historic spa town, situated on the banks of the Neckar River, traces its origins back to the Roman period, making it a site of significant archaeological and historical interest.

The town's architecture blends half-timbered buildings, stone gates, and narrow alleys, offering a glimpse into its storied past. Bad Wimpfen's spa heritage is rooted in its saline waters, which have been used for therapeutic purposes since ancient times.

Just writing these lines makes us want to spend a spa weekend here, but that isn't the focus of this post. The tower in the back is 😊

A standout feature of Bad Wimpfen is the Blue Tower (Blauer Turm), an iconic town symbol. Dating back to the 13th century, the tower was part of the medieval fortifications and has served various roles, including a watchtower and a residence for the tower keeper. The Blue Tower is noted for its distinctive blue-glazed roof tiles and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area.

Now, are you up for a visit to the tower keeper right now? (Say yes, it's a real treat ♥)
