Mostly thin bodied, much less quality half junk. The new stuff is installed with screws through the top, hundreds if not couple thousand screws which are holes which are potential leaks. The old galvanized thick tin in this photo was fastened to the rafters underneath then the next piece was applied, bent over, which is that seam you see, etc etc. Have good weekend, little ";"
It's called standing seam metal roofing. The old sturdier stuff would last 100 years when properly painted every 15 years or so. It's 23" between seams. Thank you, little ";" Dave
So, you put paint on a roof? That doesn't look like a particularly old house, and yet I've never seen that kind of roofing material before. What is that, 2x8 planks?
