Sorry, I responded so late, Sue. Thank you for sharing that darling and funny story.

Hello Niccolino. I am happy to have some, they are so fragile.

I remember these beautiful ornaments from my childhood.

I had a pet raccoon. When I put up a real Christmas tree....he was ecstatic. I mean really....a tree in the house. How much more perfect could that be???????????? So, never was able to turn on the lights at all that year, he lived in the tree the whole season. The ornaments slowly disappeared and we found them later, stuffed under the sofa and chairs and coffee table. It was a memorable season. Off to do my chores.

They are little scamps! I had a 3' tree with miniature glass ornaments for my first tree. Borrowed the ornaments from my sister. Went out, returned and my cat taken off every ornament from the tree and broke most of them. I found them on top of chairs, VCR, etc. She must have batted them up in the air. Luckily, she didn't get her feet cut from them. The tree and the rest of the unbroken ornaments melted in a fire a several months later. My sister was SO mad at me!

That's a great idea for a way to show them off. I lost a gorgeous cut crystal flower vase when my car knocked the vase - full of flowers and rocks off my dining table. The next one I velcroed down and it never moved, but it sure wasn't that beautiful one that had been my grandmother's.

Thank you, Sue. These are some of the ornaments my parents put on our Christmas tree when I was a child. My sisters took all the pretty ones in good shape. I don't mind, though. I plan to display them in a large glass jar. Too fragile to put on a tree. Never have been able to use any kind of glass ornaments because of my cat.

Oh these are so pretty. I grew up with this kind of ornaments, still have a couple left. They were delicate. The orange and red one sure looks familiar. We may have had one like it. Thanks for the memories.
