A drive around Prince Edward Island...the north-central shore

In June we travelled by rail from Vancouver (British Columbia) to Montreal (Quebec) where we spent five nights. We then took an overnight train to Moncton (New Brunswick). Next we drove to Prince Edward Island, Cape Breton (Nova Scotia), and flew home from Halifax.

Glad that you're enjoying them, Ardy...don't wear yourself out trying to catch up...there are a few long, dark months ahead when you can re-enjoy summer through puzzles. ❤️❤️❤️

Love all the little lighthouses on PEI and along the Atlantic shores in Canada. Thanks, for the fine photos. ♥♥

gemstone

Just a wee, little building, Ank, but it did the job. ❤️

puzzeljac

Looks nice Faye. ♥

You're welcome, Jill. I should have put the link up with each lighthouse puzzle but sometimes too much description turns people away...and I'll wait to add a bit more to personal comments so that I have something different to say to each friend that stops by. :)

Thanks for your answer to Suzy as been wondering the same thing. Another lovely photo, thanks Faye

Thank you, davitai...and thank you for taking the time to comment. :)

Suzy..."Many of thePEI lighthouses are now individually owned and operated by local community non-profit groups, which were formed to take over the maintenance and restoration of the lighthouses from the Canadian Government. The Federal Government still owns and maintains the lanterns of those lighthouses that are still operating as active aids to navigation." This is a quote from the brochure of The Prince Edward Lighthouse Society. You can find a map and more info at:

I would still love to see PEI for myself. You certainly had a wonderful trip..........Wendy

One of the things that amazes me about your lighthouse photos of PEI (and our tour of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick last year) is how very well kept the lights are. You figure the wind and salt water must do a number on the buildings, and yet they all look freshly painted!

Fairy tale lighthouse! Beautuful photo, gemstone!
