Why are you reporting this puzzle?

Look what can happen when the people move out and it's left uninhabited for a very long time. I find it fascinating. No doubt this is now a home for many birds, insects and other wild life. :) Robyn

Hi yellowgal. Nice to see you. i'm sure you wouldn't be able to keep those darling critters away, animals, birds, insects, they will be there nestling in. It is sad about the little home I agree, a way of life and lives long gone and it makes me wonder what their lives were like, how many people involved etc. I can't help getting all nostalgic about past lives. Have a nice new year and a great entire year if you can... we're aleady in 2017 down here. :) Robyn

How sad. Sure hope you're correct about other critters now having a new home!

:) :) :)

Yes, you are right. Best to keep a positive viewpoint.

It's an understandable feeling that many have David, and a logical one in light of what's happening in the world. Unless the governments get tough about the dreadful things happening to the animals etc at man's hand, and the earth itself, the damage will keep going on. While there is fear coming from animals towards humans (and for very good reason) and likewise fear of animals on our part (for very good reason as well) then that peace and harmony alludes us. So many things to fix up. The fact that animals have lived in peace with each other and with people, (ie on an individual basis), shows what can be done worldwide. Personally I do have faith that the days of true peace will come, but not in the way that many think it might happen, so I don't fret... :) but I still care heaps.
The documentary was as a series and went on for quite a lot of episodes. it showed time lapse deterioration. I'm not sure if it was fake time lapse in parts, as sometimes I thought it might be.

Yes, I saw a documentary like that, could be the same one. I do wonder what will happen in the not too distant future though, with rising population and demand exceeding supply, I feel sure that a 'rebalancing'' will take place somehow or other. Sorry to sound gloomy but I just wish we could live in a world at peace and at one with nature.

Thanks David. this one really went wild! I saw a documentary which showed how buildings, made out of many different materials, break down over a long lapse of time., and all because no one lived there any more. It shows me how what we do on a day to day basis keeps things going after all... :)

I agree, it is great when nature reclaims something and provides new homes for wildlife.
