Hi SamSammy........My dad was part of the Canadian Armed Forces in WW2...He was in the medical cor...My dad spent some time in Holland during WW2 and i still have the little wooden shoes he brought back for me.....

Lovely picture of Sam and commemorating an important event. I can't imagine what it must have been to live in Europe during that time. There was no actual fighting in this country but it was a scary time for a child with air raid drills at school and at home. Thanks Yvonne. I'm getting caught up from yesterday, Hugs.

Hi Pat, it was the 5th of May, Liberation Day here in The Netherlands. Sam's last summer. He is looking so good here I think. Cuddles for Bishka, love and hugs :))

Forever grateful I am. Eindhoven was the first Dutch city to be liberated by the 101st Airborne Division in WWII. This is a link to the memorial in Eindhoven, sadly it is in Dutch and only little parts are translated into English.
