Ålbæk (also spelled Aalbæk) is a small coastal town in Vendsyssel, North Jutland, Denmark, with a population of 1,419 as of January 1, 2025. It lies on the northern Kattegat coast - midway between Frederikshavn and Skagen - and located in the inner part of Ålbæk Bay (Ålbæk Bugt).
Founded as a fishing village, Ålbæk still retains its maritime character. The harbor, built and opened in 1930, serves both local fishermen and leisure yachts. Today, it's a blend of a working harbor and recreational marina, with around 125 berths for pleasure craft.
The harbor is bordered by wide sandy beaches with shallow waters. It serves both local fishing boats and visiting leisure vessels, and is active throughout the year, particularly during the summer season. The surrounding area includes walking paths and a few cafés, making it a modest but functional center for local activity and tourism.
