Why are you reporting this puzzle?

You would think that after 65+ years my head would be full of useless information, but apparently there is still vast expanses of emptiness. I am merely trying to fill those empty spaces....

Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon is the third best-selling album of all time and the longest-running LP on the Billboard 200, charting over 800 straight weeks. Enough copies have been sold that 1 in 12 people in the ENTIRE WORLD own the record.  I didn't know that! I thought that was impressive... until I thought about McDonalds and realized McDonalds has sold 47 BILLION Big Macs which would be equal to nearly 7 Big Macs for every person on earth. So what's this talk about world hunger? Which brings us to Barry Manilow:

"You deserve a break today!
So get up and get away!
To McDonald’s!"

Pink Floyd are one of the most commercially successful and influential rock bands of all time. They have sold more than 250 million records worldwide, including 75 million certified units in the United States. In 2004, MSNBC ranked Pink Floyd number 8 on their list of "The 10 Best Rock Bands Ever", Rolling Stone ranked them number 51 on their list of "The 100 Greatest Artists of All Time", Q named Pink Floyd as the biggest band of all time and VH1 ranked them number 18 in the list of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time".

Despite their enormous record-breaking chart success with "The Dark Side of the Moon", "The Wall", "Wish You Were Here" and 12 additional albums, they’ve only topped the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart ONCE, with “Another Brick In The Wall Pt. II,” hitting #1 in 1979. I find it incredible that with the number of great albums and great songs that they have produced, only one song made it to #1!  I didn't know that!

Some members of Pink Floyd went to Cambridgeshire High School for boys in the UK. I went to Cambridgeshire High School for girls at the same time as Pink Floyd. @rswestley

I have to agree with puzzleman... one of the best! I did the same EP and like you I am still listening. The creating of Dark Side of the Moon is an interesting story, especially regarding Clare Torry who performed the wordless vocals on the song "The Great Gig in the Sky", but I posted comments on her a while back. Thanks guys... glad you enjoyed the comments!

I did my part, I bought the LP when it came out and now have the CD (Dark Side of the Moon). It is music I never tire of, I hope my neighbors feel the same!! I'm surprised Rolling Stone only ranked them 51! Thanks, John.

One of the best, thanks.

Though I could list dozens of songs to post, I'll stick with their only #1 song. If you don't recognize this song or any of the songs off "Dark Side of the Moon", you are a deprived child.
