This recipe was prior to knowing what artificial sweetener did to one's body. Yes honey should work just as good. Would ne to try and error the amount needed. Thanks @dhi

My mom always made this recipe or one similar. Definitely don't need to use sweetener...honey or sugar works fine. It was a family favourite!
