Ahh, I wondered where you’re from :) I’ve enjoyed traveling to a few countries across the ocean, but haven’t had the chance to see your beautiful Germany, not yet . . I like historic architecture too!

DanyHuda

@Teagardener In Europe (especially Germany) you can still find many. I live in Germany and like historic old towns and their architecture.

@DanyHuds
Me too :))

DanyHuda

I love historic doors.

@Teagardener AH! Thanks for the kind end on your comment. There are more doors of Europe coming up, and if you care to, you can discover hundreds of them in my puzzle archive. Some if the images in the collages I have begun to create are reused from solo appearances over the years. In total, I've made more than 5500 puzzles of images from our travels, our city and our home. All but a very few are my photos. (I guess there is something to to dissatisfy everyone!) SSSW and Happy Holidays.

@jerrys, now I see you’ve posted new door puzzles, they’re beautiful and it’ll be fun to work them, thank you :)

Hello @jerrys, I thought later about what I posted. You’re right, it wasn’t The Biltmore that has the restrictions in photo taking, in the mansion. I believe that’s where the book carved interior doors are, upstairs. Here in Nashville (area) we have Cheekwood Botanical Gardens and Mansion, and photography is prohibited in the mansion / museum because of the extensive art collection. It’s been years since I was at either one of these places and can’t wait to visit again. I blissfully enjoy unique, vintage doors and have loved working your door puzzles from Belgium. Hoping you’ll post more of them :)

jerrys

@Teagardener I don't recall any with such carving. Almost all my door images are of exterior doors and while many have ornate moldings, metal and window insets, there is remarkably little actual carving. (I didn't realize there was a prohibition on photos as Biltmore. Have visited four times, the first almost 40 years ago and most recently to see the Downton Abbey exhibit, and took photos each time.)

Teagardener

@jerrys, do you have any photo puzzles with wood carved books on old doors? Just curious .. I noticed these kind of doors at The Biltmore Mansion years ago (no photograph allowed though).

Teagardener

Thank you, hope you stay safe and well too @jerrys

jerrys

A beautifully carved door. TFS. Stay safe, stay well.
