Oh and I thought I had the emojis but your seems worst! ❤️

gemstone

Let's hope everyone supports the mayor, Sharon. ❤️

The only emojis that I can use are the hearts, Gymnast. If I try any of the others, my entire comment disappears...but then, we have a "vintage" computer! ;D

Gymnast132

(By the way the question marks are emojis)

It’s kind of like one step forward then two steps back. Too were a mask it’s for the community and health but one day the world will be better

Stay safe and healthy :) ? and we will all be better soon ?

Our governor issued an announcement today he will leave it up to local mayors to decide whether masks in public places will be required. Our Mesa mayor said he will be issuing such a proclamation.

We're in Vancouver, Canada, Gymnast. Our Public Health Minister, Dr. Bonnie Henry, is so good she has her own fan club. Her words are: Be kind. Stay calm. Stay safe.
We have an International Airport with a lot of travellers from China and India. The Federal Government closed the airport...however, not as soon as we wanted...and Dr. Henry handled our outbreak admirably. While we still have cases developing...mostly in seniors' care facilities, and with meat processing plants and their families, there are now days between a death. She is slowly allowing businesses to open up...with strict guidelines re: plexiglass shields, social distancing, PPEs, etc. I have a haircut scheduled for the 21st but it will only be the second time that I have been out since March 16th. I sure hope it's safer to go out for the summer...although I shouldn't complain when I look at people like Sharon are going through. ❤️

I wish you had someone like our Dr. Henry overseeing your state/country, Sharon. Please stay safe. Blessings. ❤️

Arizona had a single day high today of 2392 new cases, some of those due to more tests being done. However, numbers for hospitalization have also jumped each day to new highs and the hospitals are getting closer to being overwhelmed. I am disappointed that when we do go out, so few people are wearing masks or keeping their distance, though places of business ask people to wear masks and have markings on their floors to help people judge the 6 foot apart recommendation.

Gymnast132

Thanks gemstone we/nz have been trying very hard but some people don’t seem to understand the rules but that happens sometimes. Wherever you live I hope those 35 cases will go down to 0 and same with the rest of the world ? : )

Arizona was mentioned again on our news last night, Sharon. I'm glad your grandson realizes the severity of the situation...so many young adults don't...usually only those that wind up in hospital or the ICU fully appreciate the warnings. I sure hope they find a good vaccine soon...preferably before the second wave hits. Fortunately, we are both fine but I'm really looking forward to being able to visit my sister or hug my niece and her little ones...but I don't know when that will be. Things are calming and rules are being eased but we did have 36 new cases from Friday-Sunday. Border closures have been extended which I'm really glad about as Washington State is out of control. We're still house bound...which isn't too bad...but I sure wouldn't want to spend the rest of my life this way. Stay safe. Stay well. ❤️

Are you in New Zealand, Gymnast? They make our news, too. They certainly have one very dynamic and wise PM! Hope those two cases are the only ones and that you're all clear again soon. Stay safe...and stay well. Faye ❤️

Gymnast132

I hope were you live the cases will go down, were I live we have had no cases at all for 24 days about and have only now got 2 cases from overseas travel. Stay safe happy and healthy best of luck! :)

@gemstone Answering the question you asked me in your commen on Clives bd card by Ank. So far my family and I are ok, tho the new Covid cases and new hospitalizations have skyrocketed since Arizona began to open up. My 18 year old grandson and I have been staying at home most of the time and wearing masks and using hand sanitizer when we absolutely have to go out. My grandson is bored and lonesome but understands the situation. My son still goes to work and is our designated shopper. Fortunately, he works in newly built, empty homes about to be closed on. He starts up and adjusts the heating and AC systems and there is seldom anyone else there. Like everyone, we hope a vaccine and/or a cure will be found. How are things where you are? Like you, I have a compromised immune system as I have no spleen and have a couple other health conditions, besides being older. I hope you and your family stay safe and well.

Wow it must of been beautiful! What an awesome experience!

gemstone

Unfortunately, it's on the other side of the river and someone would have already beaten us to it! LOL However, a few years ago we were driving home as a heavy downpour moved east, and there at the end of our street was the end of an intense rainbow. Memories like that do stick in your mind! :)))

Gymnast132

What a beautiful sight! Looks like something is behind those trees! Pot of gold maybe

gemstone

Congratulations! Top of the leaderboard! :))

It was really intense, Laura...guess the dark rain cloud helped it stand out. Fortunately, the rain never reached us. Hope you and yours are keeping well and staying safe. ❤️❤️❤️

laurajane

What a glorious rainbow!

gemstone

I haven't been out in ten days as my immunoglobulins are quite low. Ken has been out for milk and bread, etc...hopefully at times when there aren't as many people around. However, you still can't find everything you're looking for...especially hand sanitizer. But the stores are actually marking the floor to show where you stand when checking out to keep safe distances between customers. Hopefully, we'll be able to avoid the virus. The numbers are rising here but all but one of the deaths have been seniors in nursing homes...poor things can't even have their families visit.

You three take care, too. ❤️❤️❤️

puzzeljac

I was wondering what is was. Thanks for telling me. I like water and the activities which belong there. I would love to have such a view. But..... we can't have it all. ☺
I hope you two are okay, please take good care. Hugs ♥♥♥

gemstone

Thank you, Ank...always glad to see you. We love it here, too. Some people might not as it is a working river with industrial on the other side...but there is always something happening, even now, and there is a reassurance in that activity. What you see beneath the trees are actually huge log booms waiting to be transported to the sawmills...where they will be made into prime lumber...and the leftover bits will be chipped for the pulp mills...and may wind up as toilet paper in your lavatory! LOL

Love you. Stay well. ❤️❤️❤️

puzzeljac

A great series Faye. Let's go and find that pot. ☺ Love your view and the rainbow. ♥♥♥

calluna

Nice! It's the little things in life, eh?! ;-))

gemstone

Just out on the balcony watering the plants and found a couple of teeny tiny buds on my red dianthus! :)))

calluna

So far so good here as well. I'd been gradually adding to the pantry for awhile and am happy to report I have TP along with assorted necessities.....including Carr's ginger lemon bickies. ;-)) Stressful for sure .... have done some spring planting, which is always cathartic. :-) ♥♥

gemstone

So far so good. I haven't been out in a week...my immunoglobulins are quite low. My husband goes for groceries...hopefully during less crowded times...and this morning a lovely neighbour picked up a few items for us. I also hope that you and yours are staying healthy and managing well...very stressful times... ❤️❤️

calluna

Yep! ;-) Hope you and your are keeping safe!

gemstone

A lovely thought, Nancy, thank you. ❤️

Wouldn't it be nice to float up that beautiful bridge and spend a few hours snuggling...

calluna

Lovely series, Faye! Good on you for capturing the moment! I'd like to think there are greetings for us from across that bridge....perhaps a few wet nose kisses and a roaring purr or two. ♥♥ ;-))

gemstone

Rainbows do make you smile. They seem to be a focus in Ontario at the moment...kids staying home from school are painting their windows, or taping pictures and cut-outs to them with a "We'll be okay" theme. ❤️

ringleader

WOW. Looks like it should be right there, Faye, Lovely shots. Thank you. I do love rainbows. Staying safe. Hope you are too. Hugs ♥
