They are scillas nicco.... the bluebells will come soon I guess and I'm sure BarbaraL will post some photos with them.... !! You are so right about the new virus - where is it? Who has got it? How do WE allow it to spread or not? It's not very nice to think about it, that we are an amount of people who are told to stay at home in safety while we watch our fellow-humans who aren't that lucky but have to go out and take care of the community, us, by working for all of us! Perhaps get the virus while doing it! And then! You mention the flues we know from earlier - people get ill, they get well again, but some get very ill and some die! Will this simply be the same when it once has had its first attack? On the front side of our paper was told about the first one on the island who had got the virus! But so many have already had the yearly flu and it has been more or less as it uses to be! No front sides! I'm sure that most people think this to be the worst scenarium they could ever experience, and certainly it is IF we don't think about what we do - SO good that you are able to occupy yourself and that you are used to be alone with yourself. As long as we know how this spreads and the symptoms, knowledge is absolutely necessary in this situation, we've got a chance to win the war! Be well, nicco, should we try to think as positively as possible - both because of our own minds and those we talk with?? Hugs :-)))))))

Elfie

Thanks Gail, for telling about your day...You had a lot done, and helped some people who need help! This is not war, and then - actually kind of... we've got to try to be able to have an idea where this virus is, who gets it and how fast WE allow it to spread! It's depressing that common people behave in the shops like that ... as far as I can see most in the big cities! There's SO much to be read out of this behaviour about how people think about each other! In big cities it's I-I-I must have, in smaller cities there is enough for all of us! - and we are kind of closer! Gail, have some good days.... be careful!! Hugs :-))))))

Effie am so sorry you are not feeling well
Hope you will be better soon

Hope you soon feel better, Hanne. These are lovely - are they bluebells or scillas? Gorgeous colour. Went out today & a lot less people about so it was wonderful to part & shop. We are told to stay behind closed doors for three weeks as from the weekend. Nothing will change much for me as I rarely go out anywhere busy - mostly in the garden or for walks in nature. This week trying to get everything done. The thing is, no one knows how bad it will get, or how bad it actually is atm. We get a different strain of 'flu every year but nobody says how many people get it & how many people die from it. Norvirus stays on surfaces for 3 wks & is highly contagious & kills & we usually get that every year. We all had it a few years ago - any amount of antibac doesn't work on it. I have a lot of underlying health probs so don't go out much anyway as I have to avoid coming into contact with anything. I have all sorts at home to keep me occupied when I'm well enough to to anything, so nothing will change much for me.

I went to my church to drop off food for Family Promise. It's a group of churches that take turns housing 4 homeless families for a week. We don't house them at our church because of a daycare there, but partner with another church by providing food and volunteers. There was only one person there today. No services for the rest of the month, no small group meetings, office basically closed, but daycare still in operation for now.
I then went to the grocery store. I'm going to try to post a puzzle of what was on the toilet paper shelf.....charcoal for grilling. The soup aisle was also cleaned out, but since I'm gluten-free I can't eat those soups anyway. They had plenty of boxed chicken broth, so I bought a couple to use as a base for lentil soup.

Elfie

Thanks db :-))))))

so pretty

Elfie

It's the "funny" thing Gail, you are healthy you feel your "prisoning", I'm not I don't miss going anywhere... I do hope you'll be able to get something out of the situation that you can accept... Hugs :-))))

Gaillou

Yes, it's because of the virus. I have plenty of yarn to keep me busy for years, but how many hours a day can I knit or crochet? I share this computer with hubby, so can't be on it all the time either. I also have plenty of books. But I like being with other people and outside in nice weather.
Sorry you feel so crudy, Hanne. I shouldn't complain since I still have my health (except all the replaced joints which don't hurt anymore.)

Elfie

You should have some bunches in your wood - they would look sweet on the edge to the wood..... thanks Jacki! :-)))))

Elfie

They are like bells - I think we have mentioned it - but not so much as the bluebells that soon will come! Thanks Ardy! :-)))))

Elfie

But, Suzy, you CAN go outside, just think about where you are, and find a place with not very many people around, wear a scarf round your nose-mouth not necessarily close and gloves of a kind. Don't take them off, don't touch doorhandles etc without gloves! You can go walking wherever, looking at whatever etc. Hugs and be careful.... :-))))))

bluebird42

Such pretty little things. Love the rich blue color! Thank you Hanne and Bent.

ringleader

A wonderful blue. Love the color and the flowers. Thank you, Hanne & Bent.

pumpkinhead

I agree 100% Gail! Talk about a tease to go outside and play!!!

Elfie

Is it because of the virus? It's hard to follow what the different countries do to prevent it from spreading too violently! Have you got some yarn? Can't you begin on something beautiful?? Listen to some nice music while you sit down comfortably and starts knitting or crocheting?? I'm sick and feeling like three hanged cats - a bad stomach and nausea, it's disgusting!! I do hope that you'll get the best out of it, Gail - hugs :-)))))

Gaillou

So pretty. I'm a bit envious. Since I'm cooped up at home, all activities have been cancelled, and the garden is still frozen, I'm going stir crazy! I wish the weather would warm up. We are to have rain or snow most of this week.
