@scifi72 you are very sweet and I never thought of them as having movie star looks, but you are very kind. Lee Remick, for my mother, so sorry I cannot tell her. She was a very pretty woman. My father was strong, but not silent, he was Irish! But I adores him and was very much a Daddy's girl. Thanks fir your very thought provoking comment. Mary

scifi72

Your parents are a very handsome couple. I believe they were meant for each other. And as you describe them I know that they were the salt of the earth. Truth be told, they have movie star looks. Yes, your mother has that look of Lee Remick, especially those piercing eyes. Your father looks strong and silent. God bless them and you, Mary. How are you doing?

Nicepeach2

@sophiemomo, what a very sweet comment, you made my day. Thank you. Mary

sophiemomo

Now I wish I had a photo of you to see . You are likely a very handsome person.

Nicepeach2

@fuchsia, Thanks for working the puzzle and the comments,

Nice to have picture of your folks! Thanks for the puzzle.

Nicepeach2

@coviecc. It is so funny to me that I never saw that until you said it. 🤗

Johnny Carson was very Nice Looking. xoxo

Nicepeach2

@coviecc I am so sorry that I did not respond to your comment about my father ans the photo, but have just now seen it. Thank you so much for your really kind words, Mary

Your Father looks very much like Johnny Carson in this beautiful picture.

Yes and no about longevity, actually a bit strange, my 2 oldest brothers died in their 50's.

wentworth

longevity runs in you family. my mother went to 93. all my siblings are gone, carmella has a brother in his high 80's. we had our 69th in june and still counting.

Nicepeach2

Well, I will tell you to keep on truck in' because I had 1 brother who lived 3 months shy of being 100 and had been married 70+ years and another who was a month being 99 and was married 70+. ?

wentworth

so your a youngster. keep gardening. jim

Nicepeach2

No, I was the youngest of 7, born in 1933 and my mother had 7 sons before I was born, but the one before me died when he was 2 days old and my mother was 43 when I was born. Her timing was not very good. Great old depression. Thanks, Mary

your parents living in the 1880's. wow. laura ingalls was living about those same years. my parents were born in the early 1900's and i,m 90, born in 1930. so you must be older than me , about xxxx year old. keep going, don't quit. jim.

1JigFan, Oh Caroly, that just breaks my heart, because to me Cale Perpetua is so magical. It must be frightening to witness, God bless you and may He keep you in the pa,n of His hands and your family. Thanks so much for letting me know, Mary

1JigFan

Mary, I live 6 miles north of Yachats! (Comment related to another puzzle.) The coast has never had smoke from Oregon fires, but these are so bad. On day 2 with hurricane force winds trees at Cape Perpetua trees fell down across 101 and up on the hills, another tragedy. We are so fortunate to be spared except smoke and ash in the air. It’s now clear here, but we need the winter rains to begin to put out the fires. Carolyn

Binkydo

Jill, yep... LOL

art4sight

Jill, I imagine you were as surprised to see my post as I was yours! :-))

Binkydo

Well, Nicepeach2 (Mary), if you are going to call art4sight "Jill" then you have to call me "Jill", too. When I was growing up I only knew of one other Jill, but now we are everywhere. :)

art4sight

Thank you, Mary. I agree, I have found jigidi to be filled with kind, thoughtful people. Blessings to you as well. Please call me Jill :-))

Nicepeach2

@art4sight. Thanks for your sweet comments. It has been rare to find someone like that on jigidi.. Blessings,Mary

Whome23, she did not lie. She said earlier that her father was 44 and mother was 43 when she was born and she is now 87. Her father was born in 1889 and her mother was born in 1888. Perhaps this photo was taken in the early 1900s but does it matter? She did not lie. There is nothing disappointing about this sweet lady’s sharing photos of her parents.

Binkydo

Lie?

Why lie? Disappointing.

Nicepeach2

@Binkydo, great and mine is nicepeach2@gmail.com I am looking forward to it also. Where will you be coming from? Mary

Binkydo

Nicepeach2, let me give you my email. It is binkydo@gmail.com. Looking forward!

art4sight

Thank you, Nicepeach2.... I think your name is Mary if I recall correctly. Yes, that is a picture of yours truly! Thank you for your nice compliment... ~Jill

Nicepeach2

@Binkydo, what a wonderful thing that would be for you to stop in Chattanooga and we get to actually meet. That is exciting. I look forward to it. Let me know when, so I will have my bells on.?

Nicepeach2

@art4sight, yes, looking at the old pictures is wonderful for me. And the picture on your profile is you? Very pretty.

Nicepeach2

@@Isaly, Thanks Cyndi for your sweet comment.

Nicepeach2

@COden yep, you have no idea how much I feel like 130, but is am "only" 87. My father was born in 1888 and mother in 1889. I was the last of their children, as number 8, only girl and oldest brother was 21 and youngest 10. My poor mother and also daddy, depression baby and my mother was 43 and dad was 44. Hard life. But they never stopped, no handouts, just hard work. Thanks for stopping by.

Nicepeach2

Jiggers123, what a nice thing to say. She was actually much prettier than this photo shows. Thanks for doing the puzzle.

She looks like Lee Remick the movie star. Handsome couple.

COden

1880s? Wow, you must be about 130 years old, good one...

Isaly

What a lovely photograph of your parents. Thanks for sharing them with us....Cyndi

art4sight

I have several old family pictures as well. Isn’t it a wonderful treasure to have! Thanks for sharing this. I enjoyed seeing it!

Binkydo

I like this. Thanks! BTW, last year you and I commented back and forth (although I can't find it now) and thought it might be nice to meet when I go through Chattanooga. I went through in February, but had three grandbabies with me. However, I'll be coming back through either Wednesday, 9/30 or Thursday 10/1. Would you like to meet for lunch?

1880's?
