With me around the small township. The row of shops and restaurants is right by the water. Here you see the canoes for hire and looking across to the main wharf. May 2022

Akaroa, was born of Volcanic Fire and soothed by the gentle caress of the Pacific Ocean. Subtly defined by the Maori, French and European influences of it's settlers. Canterbury's oldest town, Akaroa was founded in August 1840 by French settlers.

That was my shortest trip. How about 531 miles in 30 days or the longest one 851 miles in 49 days. All trips are solo.
Would love a trip to New Zealand. Spent 3 days in Christchurch in 1968 on my way back to VietNam. Unfortunately I was getting in back in shape after 17 days in Australia so regretfully I didn't see much of the city or the country.

Yes, as a matter of fact my first trip was on the Chattahoochee, a 26 day solo trip from Buford Dam to the Gulf of Mexico at Apalachicola.

Richard I am sure you would love it, as a bit further out, (but still in the harbour) there are Hector Dolphins, they are so sweet and love playing, but yes definitely a long way away 😊Thanks for dropping by.
