Good going Pat!

ha ha Pat. That was funny.
When I was in High School, my senior year I took Auto shop and the instructor gave me an aluminium Corvair engine to disassemble and re assemble. I was supposed to get it running. But I think it was held up by not getting the essential parts through the school system. I did change the dash in my '50 Ford coupe, to a '51 Ford dash, and all the gauges. I made it work. I got an "A" in auto shop for that.

A man drove a Corvair past our high school in the early '60s. He felt a clunk but he was already slowing down for the stop sign at the end of the block. Then he pressed the accelerator pedal to go again but nothing happened. When he looked in the mirror he saw that his motor had fallen right out of the (rear engine) car and was lying on the street! Word spread like wildfire and most of us crowded the front windows and saw that little motor lying out there.

Eat your heart out Ralph Nader fans. Friend had one of these when I was in the Navy. Real nice car. Fyreline summers my family lived on Waneta Lake just over the hill from the race track. Drove the track with many of my dad's & my cars.

Thanks guys :-))

I like the car. not Nader.

I got to drive one of these little monsters at Watkins Glen once (not in a race). This car had it all - handling, power and speed. Comfort, not so much, but what do you want from a race car? Very, very quick on a road course.
