Why are you reporting this puzzle?

This was last evening. We were driving to some friends' home, and we saw the fog out on Lake Superior. As we drove, we saw the fog get closer and closer. It was kind of eerie.

Thanks for informing us of the fires, Sharon. Maybe God will send the monsoons earlier.

Li, I did post 3 puzzles of the Woodbury fire today if you want to see how it looks from Mesa.

My area is safe, but one can see the wall of smoke from all over the city. At night flames can be seen from some areas. The firefighters cannot get their equipment into the mountainous areas so are trying to contain it from spreading. It is burning some of the most gorgeous hiking areas. All is so dry and the fire is in an area that hasn't burned since the 60s so there is lots of fuel. Some roads, lakes, campgrounds are closed. The people living in the Roosevelt Lake Area are encouraged to evacuate. 900 firefighters are out there working it. It grew overnight because of heavy winds. They don't think they can control it until they get help in July from the monsoon rains then. Just trying to keep it from settled areas. There have been bigger fires, but I've never seen one this close to us before. Sadly, it was man caused.

Sharon, I think I would prefer fog to smoke. I'm sorry your region is battling fires again. They're so scary and so destructive. How far away from you are these fires?
The lake is also silver because the sun was low in the sky, Chelsey. Thanks.
Bless you for saying that, Sandra. I don't "study out" how to compose my shots; I just take what I like!

I appreciate the layers of texture in this photograph. Great composition!

It is so foggy it makes the lake silver. Thank you, joyfulli, it is beautiful.

I really like this one. Takes me back to my childhood when we'd watch fog, rain roll in across the lake. Right now we have a wall of smoke from the Woodbury wild firerising above the Superstiion Mountains just east of us that looks like this. Lakes, trails, roads closed. It's been going on for over a week and is only 15% contained. Some ranchers and tourist businesses are affected but no evacuations yet. Lots of fire fighters staged to keep it in the wild areas. But they can't get their equipment into the mountains and wild areas to really fight it. How did Ian get food in his hair? I remember days like that.

It was a stunning sight, GG. And then to watch it come to shore so quickly was really amazing. Thanks.
Tomorrow afternoon would be great, Jackie. Did you get the last pic of Ian with food in his hair?

li thank you for all four interesting looking pictures, it's bad weather all across the u.s. we have rain almost every bad. it's very depressing to me. how is tomorrow afternoon for a phone call.let me know if is good for you. hugs and love

Oh my, this is a stunning photo!!

It was that, Irene. It was so weird seeing it move in from the lake like that.

Very spooky. ♥
