Oh, I couldn't agree more, Connie. Lillyjean is wise and courageous - and I applaud her actions. :::standing ovation::: (❛ᴗ❛)

Thanks to Lillyjean for speaking out. I feel so annoyed when I see others ignoring reality. And, thanks, Kirsten, for good plaids.

My pleasure, Lucy! I'm always happy when you have fun! (❛ᴗ❛)

Another fun one! Thanks so much!!

Gracias, Daniela. (❛ᴗ❛)

HECHO 2021

You're welcome, Lillyjean! I'm glad that you like this one. (❛ᴗ❛)

But I'm sorry to hear about those anti-vaxers. I think you were very brave to put up such a great argument! These can be tricky conversations to have - and I don't think I could do what you did. I would just want to clunk their heads together! I hope that somehow things will self-resolve - when bigger numbers of people are vaccinated. We're aiming from something like 80% of eligible people being offered the vaccine, and then will look at opening up. And no longer having lockdowns. And vaccinated people being able to travel outside of the country - and come back with out quarantine! And opening up our borders. I think when that happens, the virus will be everywhere - as we've seen in the UK. But those who have been vaccinated will be protected from symptomatic COVID-19. But those who haven't - will have to make their own protections. Maybe lock themselves down. Use masks all the time. Not travel. Who knows what else? I think these things will push the vaccine-hesitant over the line. I don't think there's any hope for the real, conspiracy theorist, anti-vaxxers though.... Hopefully by the time all the folks who are willing to be vaccinated to protect themselves, families and community - and the hesitant are vaccinated, the rest will be a very small proportion. Until then - best of luck with convos with your SIL and BIL! Maybe take to bragging about all the things you can do, cos' you've had the vax! (❛ᴗ❛)

I do like to switch things up occasionally, Judy. Glad you do too! (❛ᴗ❛)

Oh, I agree Ann! I love plaids too! (❛ᴗ❛)

My pleasure, Jason. I'm happy that you liked it. (❛ᴗ❛)

What a lovely mix of colours and patterns Thankyou very much.
I'm still fuming after meeting my sister in law and her husband for coffee yesterday and he very proudly announcing that they won't be getting the Covid vaccination and really pleased that none of his staff are going to get it either.
When I questioned as to his reasons why he said he had looked up the ingredients and saw something about Sars in it, and also that we have no community cases in NZ so that as a reason not to bother! I was so furious and asked him didn't he remember the devastating polio epidemic and the crippling affects that it had on children. He said that his parents didn't allow him to be vaccinated. As if that a reason not to get one now.
When I pointed out that on completion of our second vaccination we are going to get our certificates laminated as we know it will be a very important document and by him not having one he will never be able to travel overseas and could be excluded from certain events and that if he was to arrive in hospital he may even find himself isolated down in cellars [ahahaha LOL]. I pointed out that pupils of pre schools and schools here are required to produce their vaccination certificates prior to enrolment and it did make him think about it even suggesting that perhaps he might get one in a couple of years!
The worse thing is that he has talked his wife out of getting one and also his very impressionable younger staff. On the other hand my niece told me her husband who has a big vet practice was furious that one of his staff refrained from being vaccinated [usually nothing fazes him he so placid] and also a friend who has medical practice furious that one of his clerical staff refused one. My brother in law did listen so I just hope he thinks about it.
Enough of my gripes I hope you enjoy a pleasant day.

A delightful change from your rectangles - and totally enjoyable!
Thanks Kirsten!
