L'Anse aux Meadows, Newfoundland
Why are you reporting this puzzle?
Taken while on vacation near L'Anse au Meadows, Newfoundland in 2017. The area is the site of an ancient Norse settlement, but it was the classic maritime coastline scenery that caught my eye in this shot (it was a grey overcast day).
"L'Anse aux Meadows" could be semi-translated from French meaning "Meadows Cove" (or "bay of green fields"?). Some feel it's a corruption of an older name: "L'Anse aux Méduses" which would mean Jellyfish Cove.
This is one of my few cell-phone photos (I've never owned a cellphone that can do a decent photo), and was post-worked to try and look like an older style print |(adding film grain, semi-sepia toning, old print border). The tweaking was done on the phone using a tool called SnapSeed, which I actually quite like for it's stylistic editing.
