Elfie 6 December 2019 It was Varda.... :-)))))) Plumpossum 6 December 2019 That must have been a thrilling experience, Hanne! Elfie 6 December 2019 Neither would I have a peacock! Cats are enough! Geese - we stood on a very small hill and looked at about a hundred or so geese making themselves comfortable on a field for the night. We were hidden behind a little building on top of the hill, then a couple of geese came flying and we thought that it was so nice that they found their friends! What happened? GEEK-GEEK said the two geese and flew on and 2 seconds later we lay flat on our stomachs overflown by a hundred or so geese.... they were guards..... :-)))) Bill_I_Am 6 December 2019 True. Plumpossum 6 December 2019 So are geese. When I had geese, they never failed to alert me when someone arrived. Bill_I_Am 6 December 2019 I used to live in a house that had two peacocks. It got to where I didn't notice their cries unless one unexpectedly squawked in the middle of the night. They are great watchdogs! Plumpossum 6 December 2019 Right-o, Bill!Hanne, this picture is from the local newspaper; I do not (thankfully!) have a peacock! Elfie 6 December 2019 Ohhhh what a handsome guy - so great that you had him pose for you, Varda! Thanks :-)))))) Bill_I_Am 6 December 2019 That's true. I should have added "from a comfortable distance." Plumpossum 6 December 2019 But their piercing calls are ear-shattering. Bill_I_Am 6 December 2019 Peacocks are great fun to observe! Thanks, Plum.
