Bratislava - Devín
Why are you reporting this puzzle?
Devínský hrad je zřícenina gotického, později slohově přestavovaného hradu, vypínající se majestátně nad stejnojmennou obcí, městskou částí Bratislavy (okres Bratislava IV). Zabírají téměř celé temeno hradní skály nad soutokem Dunaje a Moravy.
Kr.)

Devín Castle is a ruin of a Gothic castle, later rebuilt in style, rising majestically above the village of the same name, the city part of Bratislava (Bratislava IV district). They occupy almost the top of the castle rock above the confluence of the Danube and Morava.
The castle has some of the most moved but also richest history of castle settlements in Slovakia. The existence of a former fortified settlement is associated with the presence of Celtic and later Roman ethnicity in our territory.
The castle witnessed the glory and fall of Great Moravia, the first Slavic state formation in Slovakia, and was an important part of the system of border forts of the Kingdom of Hungary. Together with the nearby Bratislava Castle they form a pair of important representatives of Slovak national history.
Devín Castle belongs together with Bratislava and Nitra Castle to the oldest historically documented castle buildings in Slovakia. Its past dates back to prehistoric times.
According to the discovered findings, it was stated that the oldest settlement of Devín dates back to the Late Stone Age (about 5000-4000 BC).
