My sister's daughter gives her a subscription every Christmas so when she's read the latest issue she passes it on to me. It really is expensive so I get to read it free. Sounds like a great set up doesn't it. Maybe I should run for Prime Minister, lol

Thank you MrButterbur. My uncle worked in the US and would send the New Yorker to my grandfather here in the UK. My grandfather would cut out favourite cartoons by Saul Steinberg, William Steig, Charles Addams and others, which he would give to me. I still have them in storage - I must find them and sort them out!

Nice posting gladhips. I do enjoy the New Yorker, it's a wonderful magazine. I notice the price has gone up a few cents since Feb23 1995.
