At the edge of the pond, photo taken May 19, 2018.

Ah, the little bridge where she saw a 3rd snake one evening. The first was while she was skimming the pond. It was a big one and startled her. She yelled and ran back toward the house - but had a fair description of the snake that was about 2 inches in diameter, and quite long.

She garnered her courage and went back out to finish the skimming. And saw another big snake, similar in size to the first one. And ran back to the house again. Also had a fair idea of what it looked like and found out what each were.

Decided she needed to finish skimming the pond, steeled her spine, and went back out and as she was crossing over this little bridge saw a third, similar sized snake of yet another type. She was seconds of placing this property on the market. None of the three were venomous, but it didn't necessarily steady her nerves. She went back stomping on the bridge as she crossed and scared a small snake that leaped up in the grass. She told it, that it was okay didn't mean to frighten it. : )

She went to NC a week ago for a friend's mother's memorial service. She was able to meet up with her brother and sister-in-law at a town in between. They walked in a natural area, and yes, saw snakes. One startled daughter and she grabbed her brother's arm and didn't know she had scratched him. He told me in a message that he thought he should probably get a rabies shot. lol : )
