Ours are supposed to open again next week but now it's just teachers returning...don't know when or if the students will be allowed to return. We've had a number of deaths in BC but all but one were in a nursing home. Our hospitals have been cleared of all surgery patients and all elective surgeries have been cancelled in preparation. As with you, most cases have been related to travel. Anyone returning now (like our neighbours) must self isolate for 14 days or face a fine of up to $750,000 and jail time. Any bars or restaurants who serve in house customers face a fine of $1,000,000 and patrons a fine of $1,000...take out or delivery only. Life on our river continues though...log booms going by, etc. which helps give a feeling of normalcy even though I haven't been out in eleven days. We discovered that I have quite low immunoglobulins so Ken has been doing all the shopping. Sure hope he doesn't catch it. Stay safe. ❤️ porgy 27 March 2020 Hopefully you will gem! We now have 15 positive cases of the virus, up from 6 yesterday. Most from British Airways flights which stopped a few days ago. All office and regular businesses are closed and all schools have been closed for a week now. Scary days, let's hope it all blows over soon! gemstone 26 March 2020 Hopefully, will be seeing this in a few months! :))) porgy 4 July 2019 Yes it does Suzy, thanks. pumpkinhead 4 July 2019 That is a nice little overlook, Robbie. Gives you a fine vista of the South Shore. porgy 4 July 2019 Thank you Shian, Kirsten and Dil! Dilubreuer 4 July 2019 Beautiful view with pretty Yucca flowers! RandomWorship 4 July 2019 Lovely view, Robbie. I like the contrast of the grey threatening clouds, and the beautiful green of the foliage. And the beach nearly looks like a lagoon! I guess that makes for calm water. (❛ᴗ❛) Shian2 3 July 2019 Beautiful, Thanks, Porgy. porgy 3 July 2019 Hi gem, I vaguely remember that, I think you are right.........on both counts! gemstone 3 July 2019 Was the Sonesta Beach the one with a "bubble" over its swimming pool?
