Have been showing my sister the puzzle and it started her recalling when she went to the dances held in the ballroom in New Brighton, it was a long way for a lad to take you home especially if he lived on the New Brighton side of the river. But a very big Thank You Wildrover for putting the puzzle on, pam
So glad its bought back such happy memories alemap
This brings back many memories like getting off the ferry in the 50’s and running along the jetty bucket and spade, sister June with me, mum and dad trying to catch us. Playing on the beach, running into the water, screaming because it was so cold, then fish and chips on the walk back to the ferry. I always fell asleep on the way back and poor dad had to carry me. We lived on the liverpool side in a place called Kirkby and I still do, been here for 68 years, but treasure the memories of mum and dad and our days out.
