Thanks, Judy. :-))

parrotman33

I thought it was longer than a year too, Dawn. Look forward to the next year. :-))

jals

That picture you posted of Virginia Creeper is beautiful!
Thank you for the compliment, you're very kind. At least the good looks part. LOL
The slate sounds beautiful, would love to see the inside. I have a friend out in Pennsylvania that has been putting some of her photographs on local, "Peach Bottom" slate. They turn out really neat.
I'm hoping you will soon be putting some food in your mouth!!

firstdawn

John, I've been deleting most of my past completed puzzles with the intention of discovering when I first did a puzzle by you. It was Aug 26, 2016 , a solar system. But I didn't comment until I did your black and white pollen puzzle Sept 11, 2016.(Parrotman22) So we've been friends for over a year now but it seems much longer.

parrotman33

LOL, Dawn!! Stinker? First time I've been called that on Jigidi!!!! ;-PP

firstdawn

Now you know what I mean you little stinker. Actually alcohol destroys cells. Not good for wounds unless you want to kill bacteria before suturing and no antibiotics available.

parrotman33

No alcohol;, if that's what you mean, Dawn! Coffee and tea is OK but taken by syringe. Don't know if that will change. Going to ask my surgeon if I can start taking some real food when I see him on Thursday. I'm sure he will say that I can. :-))))))))))))

parrotman33

I do get better each day but I've got an infection in some of my war wounds that are holding me back at the moment.

parrotman33

Nancy, for me it looks better on the outside than in. It was built on money from the slate industry and a lot of the fixtures and fittings are made of black slate. Wonderfully worked but it makes the inside very dark and cold in the winter!!

parrotman33

That's why I like you, Judy. Good looks and a crazy mind!! What more could a man ask for!! LOL

parrotman33

Rather than red ivy I think it is Virginia Creeper, Judy.

Me too. And how's the drinking doing?

You live in a nice neighborhood, John!! The castle is magnificent--it must ramble on forever. I read a bit about it and it's huge!

And a quick question--are you still finding each day better than yesterday?? I know sometimes the healing process isn't exactly forward progress every day. Hope yours is, John. Best wishes!!

jals

p.s. That is exactly how my friend from Dublin would have phrased it. "What is your mind like?" lol

jals

John,
You know what my mind is like! Crazy! lol It did look like blood. I don't know if I've seen red ivy before. It's beautiful.

parrotman33

Perhaps I'll be able to have a good hug by then!!

Lia

Parrotman: If I ever come to Wales..... I'm going to give you a kiss, and even much better: a hug!!!

I give you one from here - now!!

parrotman33

Thanks for your praise of my homeland, Westie lover (not sure where the 69 fits in!!)

parrotman33

The Crown Jewels are amazing, Dawn. Nice bit of pocket money for me!!

parrotman33

What is your mind like, Judy!!.........................BLOOD?

parrotman33

Beaty is in the eye of the beholder, Lia.

lo69vemywestie

Parrotman, you are so fortunate to live so close. I have visited Wales 3 times and it is one of my favorite places in the British Isles. Northern Wales in the fall is breathtaking. I love the heather and the red ivy. Thanks for posting.

jals

That sounds cool, Dawn!

firstdawn

I got to see the crown jewels in London. There's 2 lines to get in and one line puts you up next to the glass, the other one you stand behind the front line. Someone told Mom and me which line to get in (taxi driver?) so we got a really good look. If I remember right, there's nothing but silver items on another floor. It was amazing all that gold and silver and diamonds, emeralds and sapphires!

jals

I didn't even make the board on this one. LOL

jals

You've been busy this morning! I'm glad someone said it was ivy. I thought at first glance it looked like blood.
When I was young, I thought I'd like to live in a castle. :-)
So nice and close to you, you're lucky!
Nice puzzle, thanks John!

Lia

Oooooo, Parrotman....... I think I am going to pack now, straightaway.... if I can get through the snow to my car..... LOL

I'm a lot, but, (sighing, sighing) not beautiful! Ain't it a shame!!

parrotman33

I saw it in Cairo, Dawn. I hope you get a chance to see it sometime. :-))

firstdawn

I always love to see old buildings and museums. My one regret is not seeing King Tut's exhibit when it was in San Francisco.

parrotman33

A beautiful country would welcome a beautiful lade!! :-))

Lia

Lovely.... I should travel to Wales once more.... perhaps in 2019.....??

My world is white at present too..... and I can just look out and enjoy it!!
In this appartment building snow shoveling is mostly a men's job! Hurrah, I am a woman!!

skpy

Beautiful, love the red ivy! My world is white at present and I must get out and shovel some snow.

parrotman33

Thanks, PL. Not such a nice day today!! LOL

PaxLab

Lovely - and such a beautiful day!
