Thank you Gina and Robin. I agree with both of you. LOL. ☺♥☺♥
I tend to agree with you gina.....for the likes and "don't " like so much....lol
I am with the right crowd for sure, LOL! I love poker, but as you say my expressions can be read like a book. I actually do fairly well when playing poker, but the rest of the time, forget it! I love William & Kate, & Harry & Megan. Won't even say what I think of "Bonnie Prince Charley" (BAH!) & some of the others. I have to say, I thought that one of the crazy hats the 2 girls wore looked like it belonged on one of Dr. Seuss's characters! Amal's dress & hat are gorgeous, & yellow is my favorite color. They do make a lovely couple. I wish all of the Royals (even those I don't care for) a long & blessed life. Now, on to do this sweet, lovely puzzle! ♥☺•●♥~Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ~♥●•☺♥
they sure do irene....I have seen many pictures of them and their homes and etc.......in a magazine we get here...kind of like people but more upscale (so to speak.lol)
I read it in the papers in January, but nothing has been announced, so I'm saying not. Robin, George is gorgeous as you can see, and Amal Clooney is a British-Lebanese barrister at Doughty Street Chambers, specialising in international law and human rights. They make a lovely couple.
I agree clive.....they do seem ( from the news??) to be "nice people"...or he does.....I don't know much about her..kind of "down to earth"??
I thought I read it in the Mail. could be wrong silly me. But they are a very nice couple.
I agree irene.......if she is preggers...it has to be VERY soon.......too soon to announce I would think......but wdik??..lol
Looking at Amal in the wedding photos, she didn't look pregnant to me Clive.
My mother used to say that too Robin, she said it ruined the line of the suit. LOL.
Hi Robin he has to feel something now that Amal is now pregnant. !!
they did look nice irene....if he would just get his hands out of his pocket...lol......I am laughing here...my mother was a great one for saying "get your hands out of your pockets"......I guess it wasn't "done" in her day....lol
That was a pretty outfit and hat, Irene. The ties on the dress were kind of long, almost to the point of stepping on them.
Oh Robin, I love a good hat it finishes the outfit especially at a wedding. My favourite outfit at this wedding was Amal Clooney, pure class.https://www.harpersbazaar.com/celebrity/latest/a20884964/george-clooney-tequila-shots-royal-wedding/
I like some of the hats, Robin, but the ones Fergie and Andrews girls wore to Kate and William's wedding were awful and I've thought the same about some of Camilla's.
oh darn judy.......I loved a lot of the hats....not all......but "formal" is all about the hat.....lol
ha ha ha ha ha Irene!
Yes, it stands out a mile Judy. LOL!!!
Sounds to me like Clive, kind of likes the girls and their mom. lol
And what is with these women and their ridiculous hats? They must not have any fashion sense at all.
Oh Irene, that is disgusting! I did not know that about her. I now see why you have nothing good to say about her.
Thee hee, yes I am, did not know they used stylist's, too frumpy girls together and yes they do complement each other sad that one of them is getting married soon. Pity the poor boy that uses "Rose" coloured spectacles. LOL!!!
You are pulling my leg Clive, to be fair they're not ugly, just have no dress sense. Remember the hats they worn to William and Kate's wedding, they should have kicked their stylist out!https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/212302569903490732/?lp=true
Irene, what do I think of The Ginger pig not a lot or Prince Andrew come to think of it . Did you know her daughters auditioned for the Cinderella pantomime a few years ago and were rejected as they were found to be ugly to play Cinderella's step sisters. True, just saying.
Clive, what do you like of Fergie?
Judy our Queen does not stop you taking picture of her and you can get quite close to her as well when she is out or opening projets, d not get me wrong she will not stop and pose for you. Thee Hee.
Fergie in 1992 was caught with her financial adviser sucking her toes. Then in 2011 she was caught in a newspaper sting accepting 500 hundred thousand pounds for access to Prince Andrew. The Duke of Edinburgh will never forgive her.
Same with our corner of the world. What is portrayed in the news isn't always how things go down here.
I felt the same as judy irene.....fergie seemed to be so "down to earth??"......so to speak...(as in not phony).....but of course all we see on this side of the pond is a few newscasts...but I can see what you mean
I only knew a little of Fergie and thought she seemed very down to earth. I didn't notice the behavior you mention, Irene. Okay, we only play poker with each other. :-))
Apparently both the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh have a great sense of humour. Lets face it you're dammed if you do and dammed if you don't. I didn't like Fergie (Prince Andrew's ex wife) because her behaviour and giggling , just wasn't royal. We will only play poker with each other. LOL!!
I have seen her smiling often also....I think it makes a difference which function she is attending.....she looks lovely when she smiles...she was a very pretty girl/young woman.....or I thought so anyway.lol
Well Girls, We'd best not be playing poker anytime soon. lol Clive, I'm glad you have pictures of the Queen smiling. Did she know you were taking them? ;-)
I'm with you and judy irene.......you can read me a mile away....lol....absolutely NO finess...lol
I have many pictures of our Queen in smiles and laughter but that is just me you have to go to Windsor great Park when she enjoys the Polo. LOL!!!She normally wears a scarf on her head just so that she is not recognized. WHAT we all know who she is and no bodyguard anywhere that you can see. Great Lady.
I wish I had a poker face, but unfortunately anyone who knows me can read my face. I admire her for not showing her emotions, you're right Judy, and you Iris, it's her Royal Face, no-one does it better.
I think it is probably intentional not to show her emotions on her face, she's probably practiced that. I, on the other hand show everything I'm thinking. Rolling eyes, mouth open, shaking my head... lol
I call it her royal face.....lol.....and she is so pretty even still when she smiles.....but she is the queen...I guess she can do what she likes.....
Maybe she's just tired of smiling. I might be if I reach 92. ;-)I have an app on my phone and computer called Telegram and it is a messaging app, and has stickers you can use (Pictures) one of the collections is your Queen. Most of them are not very expressive and she looks the same in most of them, but that is part of the attraction for me. I love them. :-)It kind of puts an ironic spin on things, like cheering with a serious expression.
To be honest Robin, I think our Queen does a brilliant job, and she is 92, but I have to agree with you, she didn't look happy. When I think about it, the Queen doesn't really do public facial emotions, occasionally you might see her crack a smile.
it really was a lovely wedding....I thought the queen looked very angry???.....but lately I have seen other times when she doesn't seem quite "herself"???
ha ha Dave. We've got 15 steps from basement to main floor. That's enough.
Robin, a thief would have to get passed the Beefeaters, and the Yeoman of the Guard before they got to the Crown Jewels, but where there's a will there's a way.
good place for the jewels.......irene...I didn't know that....would take a pretty good thief to get all the way up there undetected.....lol
Sorry Dave, the Tower now hold the Crown Jewels, but it was used for executions.
I have stepped into yucky things before Judy, but if it means climbing a staircase, I'm out!
Careful Dave, with a name like The Tower, it makes me think there might be a lot of steps. ;-)
"the Tower" -- is that a place to party? If so, I'm in!!!
I'm sure they would Clive. ☺☺
Well, they would like me and Kays for sure. So there. Thee Hee.
Robin and Dave, I am so much like you both, it's a good job none of us are Royals, they would put us in the Tower.
lol dave......it is funny how I believe you......!!!!
ha ha Dave! I believe that would be a royal pain in the arse. ;-)
I've been told many, many times that I am Royal, usually after I do something dumb or irritating; as in "you are a Royal pain in the . . . ."
I'm with you irene....I would NOT like to be "royal"....or anything close......they would always be berating me also...I just don't seem to know when "not" to talk....lol......the wedding was nice though....I didn't get up for it....but they played it on our news station over and over....lol....for us sleepyheads....I thought the little kids were just super....especially the mulrooney boys...I think they "stole the show" for a bit there...yea!!! for the "brits"
Hi Irene , yes I saw the Jag but why left handed ? I also liked the plate.Mrgoodboy They always ride like that when pulling a carriage for whatever reason escapes me at present.
Yes Clive, the Princes looked very dashing dressed in the frockcoat uniform of the Blues and Royals. Did you see the silver Jaguar E-Type Concept Zero - a modern electric car based on the 1968 British classic that Harry drove to the evening reception with the reg no. E190518 (date of the wedding)
Thank you for your comment MrGoodbody, yes her hair looked beautiful up with that veil. I must admit, I never noticed just the two riders with six horses before, now I will have to do some research. ☺☺
Hi Judy, personally, no I wouldn't want to be young again, a bit younger then I am now, maybe, but I certainly wouldn't want to be a member of the Royal family, too many rules I know I would break.
Thank you Iris, it was a precious watch, it suited both of them as was more modern but still with the pomp and ceremony.
Dave, it's a shame about Meghan's father being absent. It did bring a tear to my eye when I saw her walk part of the way down the aisle alone, as she must have been thinking about him.
Robin and Annlumb, I agree with you both, Meghan's mother looked very graceful but lonely. I'm sure when they got to the reception and hope, everyone would rally round and look after her.
One thing I just can’t understand . The carriage had four horses, but only one rider on each side ..
She chose the best hairdo for that veil.
they did well clive and irene......I did watch a lot of it on our continuous news broadcasts today.....she just seems to "fit right in"....and I was sorry that her mom was alone......"big doin's".....they did themselves proud I though....and a nice day for it too......they deserve it.......times they are achangin'
Oh to be young again and have all your life before you, yet.
Dave would you believe I have never been in a Rolls Royce, but have been in Bentleys once when I was 16 then again when I was 70 the first time it was with the the boss that owned the firm called Laytool who I was an apprentice at. The second time was with my eldest son driving his friends Bentley who knew I loved Bentleys but the style was so much different the first time was sedate the second time was WOW!! does this thing STOP!!All True I can assure you.
I didn't Clive, but I do remember a British gentleman who lived a semi recluse life on Rarotonga back in the 80s who would drive an eloquent Rolls around the island from time to time; dressed in his beach bum clothing, of course!
So precious to watch! grins! *•.¸♪¸.•*¨*•.¸♥¸.•*¨☺
Dave did you see that beautifull old Rolls Royce that Meghan was brought to the wedding in style thanks, Queen Lilibet for letting enjoy her day in one of your better cars.
Puzzle time 0:35.Doesn't she look courageous nice to see the Blues And Royals as An escort for them and Harry dressed in his B&R. Well done Sir. As Did William what a nice thought to their regiment well done boys.
A big event for you Irene! I guess her father didn't make it after all -- and I was looking forward to seeing him being driven around town in his new Rolls Royce!!!
It was a wonderful wedding but her Mum looked so lonely!
