This solar farm is on the Coolum-Yandina Road, on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. The panels in this picture, which stretch as far as the eye can see, generate enough electricity to have this stored in an adjacent building on site [see posting (a) ].
This is quite a "different" form of farming to the norm. And as you can see, no shortage of sunshine in this area.
Taken on Tues. 21st Aug. 2018.

Wendy, it would be interesting to know the figures - how much power is being generated. ♥♥♥

Ank, we had never seen one before. ♥♥♥

My goodness, that is a massive project, but it looks like it is really working..............Wendy

The only word I can find is 'WOW'☺

Pat, what a clever little bunny you are!! I never thought of that - lucky we have someone here on Jigidi who is thinking outside the box. Hmmmm.........

I wonder if they aren't missing a secondary opportunity here, Nev. I'll bet you could make yourself rich by coming up with a crop that grows best in shade, then growing it under these panels in ground that is otherwise lying there completely unused.

Ardy, no worries about "watering the plants" on this farm! :-))) ♥♥♥

Bev, we thought it was quite fascinating. ♥♥♥

Suzy, it sure is. And in the perfect place too, as this area is blessed with sunshine. ♥♥♥

ulangariver

Janet, this is the first solar farm we've seen. ♥♥♥

Jackie, I guess there is a lot of pressure to get it set up properly in the first place, and then secondly to make sure it's operating correctly to get that energy back to the grid. ♥♥♥

WOW! That's a lot of solar panels. Very interesting puzzle thanks Marge and Nev, with tickles to the little furry one. Hugs ♥♥♥

nev when I see this pictures, I think of my younger son gary, he lives in Hawaii, and he's a solar engineer, and right now his company is building three solar farms in o'ahu, this is his second farm that he as been in charge of building. he loves his job, but some times it can be very stressful, and he has a lot of paper word to do. hugs and love.
