The correct anwer is ***** ALEC GUINNESS (1914-2000) *****

THE CHAIN LINK to the Robert Englund . . . V
Robert Englund appeared in the 80s sci-fi TV series "V" as one of the 'visitors' . . . Willie.
. . . and now for the science bit . . . vanadium is a chemical element with the symbol V and the atomic number 23. It is what gives the green colour to the gemstone vanadium beryl (aka vanadian emeralds or vemeralds, for short). Vemeralsds are not considered to be true emeralds by some as they do not contain chromium but I'll leave that to the experts to fight over . . . ;-)
The Guinness Emerald Crystal is one of the largest emeralds to have been mined at a whopping 1759 carats

. . . and the winner is TIGRESS who gave the correct answer on picture #3 . . . well done Barb . . . :D)

Happy Dance . . .
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgPlz67L-LI
not in the clip but he was in the film . . . as the ghost of Jacob Marley

THIS GAME IS NOW CLOSED AND A NEW GAME HAS BEEN POSTED. IF YOU CLICK ON MY NAME BELOW IT WILL TAKE YOU TO MY PROFILE PAGE WHERE YOU WILL FIND A LINK TO THE CURRENT GAME . . . :D)

Here is the full series of pictures together with the original image. Please note that the original photo is freely available on several internet sites but all distortions/morphs/alterations etc are down to me, my PC and some ancient software . . . :D)

Waytogo (Way to go) , Tigress ! Such a mix- - excellent puzzle solve by Barb, great photo find by Bookish, and a perfectly solid link by jdh, despite another by T&F.
The twang is so very well done to disguise Alec Guinness. Who would have guessed him from that first messy image? - and Froggie's connection is classic. This is why I HAVE to check WAI. Thanks to all who make this so much fun

catmo

Great job, Tigress. You, as well, Bookish! Pretty amazing research, jdhphx!

bookish

Congratulations, Barb. :))
~Thanks; 'twas an easy photo to find. I was so sure jdhphx's link was the right one. Both links were interesting.

jdhphx

Congrats Tigress!! and Honorable mention to Bookish!!

XenaPrincess

Congrats Tigress! Congrats Bookish! So close JDHPHX! Good job all :-D

Trouble_and_Frog

Hi everyone . . . a combined "double bubble" with Barb (tigress) coming up with the answer and Francine (bookish) providing a link to the source image. With a sterling effort from JDHPHX regards the link between Alec Guinness and Robert Englund you almost had the triple between you.
I would have been very surprised if anyone had come up withe the same link as me as I'm afraid my link was a little convoluted but you all know me by now and the way my mind is working at the moment everything is convoluted and getting worse . . . ;-)
In view of that I will shoot off and get some shut eye before . . . something or other . . .
