Why are you reporting this puzzle?

Over the course of several visits to the home of Julian & Janet (jan42ful) over the years, Janet has given Marge many Bromeliads/Billbergias. This is one plant from our 2018 visit which has recently flowered.
Taken at Toongabbie, New South Wales, Australia, in mid-Sept. 2019.

Bev, I don't envy you at all your upcoming Winter. I'm so pleased every year when our Winter is finally over. ♥♥♥

Val, it does make you sleep better, doesn't it? After all that deciding, you're exhausted! :-))) ♥♥♥

Linda, it's quite attractive in its own right. ♥♥♥

About four nights ago it got down to 36 degrees, I had my winter comforter on the bed and my heat is on. Way to early this year. Leaves are falling to beat the band. We have sunshine, but coolish enough for a topper. Grrr. Not looking forward to winter coldness, ya know like zero.
Interesting flower and thank you for the picture and Jan for her gift to Marge. 1-14-19

Nev and Janet we have to look at the temperature every night before we go to bed, we then know at this time of year 1 or two blankets or the duvet or even sometimes no blankets it is so exhausting all this just to go to bed lol♥♥♥

Interesting plant. TFS!

Val, many thanks.
Have been looking through all my photos for that Blue Tongue picture, but haven't found it yet. It might not be in "My Pictures", but perhaps filed under "My Documents". Will try there. ♥♥♥

Janet, let me tell you what goes on in this household every year, around this time. It has been like this for as long as ever I can remember.
*late Sept./early October, we suddenly get a warm spell, to which Marge responds: "Nev, do you want Summer sheets on the bed?" Nev says: "No, too early."
*mid-October, when the weather suddenly turns cold again, not a 'peep' is heard from Marge, whilst Nev is patting himself on the back.
*early November, the next warm spell arrives, and Marge again asks: "Summer sheets". Nev again says no because he knows that cold weather is once again in the offing.
*mid-November, a frustrated Marge, during our next warm spell, suddenly pleads: "Summer sheets now?", and Nev relents because he knows that the Winter has finally "let go".

Janet, it's the same routine every year. And we all live happily ever after. :-))) ♥♥♥

Nev our days are warming up but we still have to pull up a blanket in the early mornings. I have lots of spring flowers too. Hugs ♥♥♥

Fascinating plant thank you Nev♥♥♥

Janet, we're a little behind you in the flowering department as our weather hasn't been anywhere near as warm as yours (yet). I see your predictions for this coming week are all up in the mid-thirties, but we seem to be sticking to the mid-twenties down here. And our nights have gone cold again. ♥♥♥

Ardy, you're quite right, I just never thought of it. Have plenty to post for the Theme puzzles anyway. ♥♥♥

Bobbie, the flowers are in full bloom here at present. ♥♥♥

These Brommies of mine (Billbergias) have finished flowering now, but I have others flowering. So good to know that they are thriving for Marge. Thanks and hugs Marge and Nev. ♥♥♥

It's also green, Nev, so could also be a theme puzzle. Thank you and Marge.

Lovely. :)
