A chef blogger with the actual name Yumna writes,

"This Olive Oil Garlic Bread is a slam dunk recipe for any Italian-themed dinners. It's so flavorful, simple to make and goes perfectly with soups and pastas."

"I used sourdough this time, but you can also use french bread or ciabatta or any bread you like. And you can slice them however you’d like. I went a little un-conventional garlic bread slicing this time…look at me, living on the wild side."

"You can puree the garlic sauce in a blender for a smooth and even texture, but I just left it chunky and spread it on the bread very generously. Then I sprinkled some grated Parmesan cheese.

And then broil them for 3-5 minutes, and get ready for your house to smell like a garlic bomb…in an amazingly delicious savory kinda way!"

Ingredients

1 loaf sourdough or ciabatta bread
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
4 garlic cloves minced
2 Tbsp fresh parsley chopped
Freshly ground pepper to taste
4 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

Cut the bread into about 12 even slices (I divided them onto two trays) and spread on a baking sheet (or two)

In a small jar, mix the olive oil, minced garlic and fresh parsley. Close the jar and shake to blend.

Brush or spoon the olive oil garlic mixture generously on the cut side of each slice of bread.

Season with fresh cracked black pepper, if desired.

Sprinkle each piece with grated Parmesan cheese.

Broil in the oven until they are toasted and the cheese has melted, about 3-5 minutes.
Enjoy immediately.

No, a trip to the store does take awhile though...Maybe a week.....

Fun puzzle.

Thanks.

Mischka

Oh, dear. Perhaps you could just buy it in jars? Or are the thousands of lives those of grocery shoppers at seeing a giant-clawed Ninja Sloth creeping in the door?

msbonne

Do you know how long it takes a sloth to mash garlic?

This could take years and cost thousands of lives.

Mischka

Oh good, thanks for writing. :)

Thank you Mischka for an enjoyable, yummy puzzle. I'm going to make some bread and minestrone for tonight! Take care and keep well.

Mischka

Yes, there's a recipe, it was under all the ads. I'll add it now.

Mischka

No, I realize now in surprise there was no recipe; but a series of photos says it all. She talked a LOT about using fresh garlic and how she mashes it and freezes it.

Donnajames

What? No recipe? I think most people know how to make garlic bread though. Love it!!!
