Oh, surprise, My Laker Pipes are hooked up for real, and boy do they sound great when opened up. Like a race car on the circle dirt track. Wow.
I guess Ford decided in 51 to introduce it's first automatic so this 50 has stock 3 on the tree. Flathead w 3 2's, dummy lakes and tear drops but the greatest sounding glass packs, Of course at idle the alternator makes more noise that the flat head..
I found the puzzle. It was back on May 23, 2013. About 100 pages back. And you said then that it does have a flathead with 3 on the tree. Man, I remember, I would break the universal joints over and over by popping the clutch. Lots of fun though.
matto, Nice '50 Ford Coupe. I think I did this picture puzzle before. Is it the same picture, or have you been working on it? I like it a lot. Are you still running a flathead?abear1943, I did too. when I was 17 yo, in 1962, I got a '50 Ford coupe, and I put the '51 Hood on it, and I put the '51 dash in it, and the '51 steering wheel, cut to 3/4 wheel, and a '54 Buick grill. But.... the Michigan salt on the road got to it and all the floor boards, rocker panels, fenders, all just rusted away. I traded it to a dirt circle track racer, for a '54 Merc Sun Valley with the plastic top.
Got one just like this (stock) in '58 for my 16th birthday. Happy memories, thanks.
NICE! I have a 50 Meteor.....
