Lucky you Mary! And a great cause he sang for. My mom was a huge fan so I grew up listening to him. :))

Loved his voice and his laid back personality. Met him in Chattanooga, Tn when he came for a benefit concert for Bethel Bible, a Christian place for children with incarcerated children. He was great and so are they. Thanks. Mary

wonder if he sang as a barber.. maybe being discovered by a music mogul whose locks were being trimmed by the great perry.. tom

I loooooved "Catch A Falling Star". When I was a kid and would sing it constantly. I think that was why my parents had me fitted for my first muzzle. But little did my parents know I wasn't actually singing, I was sounding the alarm. I think Perry Como was the first astrophysicist to inform everyone about the dangers of earth being struck by very large asteroid or a comet. Or was that chicken little? I'll have to get back to you about that...

"Catch a falling star and put it in your crock pot
Never let it out to play
Catch a falling star and fill your gun with buckshot
Put it in an early grave"

I remember listening to him on the radio as a young girl. I would sing along with him!
My Mom gave me music lessons and I've been singing ever since!

I remember watching his TV show with my parents. I enjoyed all his hit songs that came out in the 1950's.
Thanks for the great memories and the puzzle, Joe. :-))
