Spring always seems short here, it sort of bounces into Summer quickly. Yes, no relatives. It's pretty much cleaned out now and we will start next week on the ceiling and walls, need to be cleaned and repainted. She smoked 2 packs a day.

Wow, sounds like you are making wonderful progress. I gather the lady didn't have any relatives since you are cleaning out closets, bathroom and dressers. I did that last year when my aunt passed away. She had fifty years worth of stuff and it was a lot of work! That's great your nephew is helping out.

Our weather has warmed to mid teens in the daytime (celsius). Mornings are quite cool, but the weather is a far cry from where it was last weekend. This is my favorite type of weather. I was afraid we were going to go from winter to summer, but spring has finally arrived and I'm starting to think about what will need to be done outdoors. Still have a little snow in the front yard and some ice in the shady areas, but that will be gone in no time. Have a great week :))))))

Hi Whatnauts. We're used to the heat, I'd much rather deal with hot than cold. Yes, actually my nephew has surprised me with his willingness to help. Of course, he will inherit that piece of property as my horse barn and pond are on that piece. But he's put in a lot of hours already. All the carpet and padding has been pulled up and most in the dumpster. 2 loads gone, still one or 2 to go. He has the closets, attic and most of the kitchen cabinets cleaned out. I had done the bathroom and dressers and desk. So much more to do - along with finding a home for her cat. Have a good weekend - sending you some of our 86* warmth and sunshine.

Sorry to hear about your tenant. Good luck with getting lots of hours and saving up some $$. Is that nephew of yours helping out yet??

68 would be a heatwave for us at this time of year! But I don't envy your summers one little bit, so I'll just live with this unseasonable cold!! Shouldn't be much longer.

Hi Whatnauts, bright and sunny at the moment here. It was overcast, so it's down to 68*F right now. I am quite busy with school this month due to state testing in the 3rd-5th grades. Plus I had a tenant pass away, a very nice lady who had been with me for 13+ years. But it will take months and thousands of dollars to redo the house so that it is ready to rent. Her health was poor and she was a bit of a hoarder. Just wasn't able to keep things clean anymore. It will take me forever. Going to be tricky financially for the next 6 months or so with no rent coming in and so much $ going out. One reason I am working every day I can before school is out in 2 months. I hope you have a great week, too.

Thanks for the ripples, Sue! It's still cold here in Canada. We are waiting for spring's late arrival and we still have snow on the ground. Have yourself a great week :))))))
