That sounds wonderful--I'd love it, but my husband, who is not at all adventuresome about trying different foods, would never go... They do say that opposites attract, but as someone who loves almost every food and national/ethnic recipe there is, and who loves to cook, it's hard to satisfy us both. In this case, I'd prefer the birds of a feather flock together dining marriage!
Wonderful Irish swirls and your dinner sounds really wonderful. We celebrated with a wonderful sushi and sashimi dinner with warm saki. Different for us but what we were in the mood for---now that we have an authentic Japanese Sushi rest with a Master. It was wonderful. Rosie
Thanks, Katie and Wendy--it was a lovely dinner, with Casey and Ania and Timmy, and the Chieftains CD playing, making us feel Irish for a little while at least!......
Now that the parades are held at "convenient" times (our local one was last weekend!), I haven't been to any for a while, but I do love the food! And I always wear some green (normally a t-shirt--there's dressing for the holiday, and dressing UP for the holiday, and I'm not into the latter!). :-)))
Wow - Pat - it sounds as though you celebrate St Pat's Day with bells and whistles... how marvellous. I've never actually see a St Pat's parade... maybe one day I'll get to one. Thanks for a lovely fun swirl today :~)
And a very happy St. Pat's Day to all of you as well!
Thanks, Barb, Edie, PJ, and Ardy--when I was a child, I was always thrilled that MY name had its very own special day, complete with a parade! LOL! I never have quite lost that feeling, so, even though I'm not Irish, I do love to make the corned beef, cabbage, onions, carrots, parsnips, and potatoes, cooked in beer (makes the broth at the end extra tasty, and by then there's no alcohol left at all, just flavor), served with Irish soda bread--yummy! :-)))
Pat, I check out both of your profiles before I start your puzzles to see if there is a swirl and where it is. Then I save the best for last. Happy St. Patrick's Day to you, Pat. And thank you for all these wonderful fun puzzles today.
