Article reads:

"This girl is the only one like her we have ever found! She was originally purchased from Jan Foulke, internationally recognized doll authority and author of the Blue Books of Doll Values. I do not recognize the markings on the back of her head, but she is obviously modeled like the S&H 1469 and the COD 1469 dolls. She has never been undressed and retains her original costume. Her costume has never been removed and is made of crepe paper. It could use a little stitching here and there, but is in generally excellent condition. She has a beautiful bisque head with no flaws. Her head has ever such a slight wobble, nothing requiring restringing. She has a slender, adult face with multi-stroke brown eyebrows, long painted lashes, small blue sleep-eyes, a long nose and small closed mouth with a pert pointed chin. Her has her original curly brown mohair wig on a 5-piece composition LADY body. She is marked A.M.M.H Germany and 300/90. My research indicated Armand Marseille made a nurse doll at this time, but I cannot find one listed in this petite size. It is just a coincidence that we are being able to list so close to the anniversary of the war in which she served. She will come double-boxed and extremely well packed. Such a treasure and rare witness to history".

Dollfriend, talk about stupid stuff, I just can't remember more than 5 seconds it seems like. My computer is so slow here in the outback of America I can't recall why I went to a new page by the time it comes up. I'd love your cooking! No matter what, see I can't taste or smell anything anymore, go figure! That Baileys I couldn't taste at all but I sure felt it after adding more to get the taste....didn't work. LOL!

See, I mispelled Mother Nature always wins, I have been doing this so often,
ordinarily, I proofread my messages and make corrections and deletions. Hope
I don't start doing this in the kitchen with recipes. I do so want to continue
to live on my own for years to come. You wouldn't want to eat at my house,
it is hard telling what I may start adding to my cooking. Ha!

I missed Finding Your Roots on PBS, this evening as I was working outside
and had been for 5 hours, I look forward to watching that show, but I tell
myself it will be on again as a rerun.

BJ, You are right of course, I don't know how I didn't notice that, I do a lot
of stupid stuff these days. Too much on my mind, I guess. All this yard
work is getting to me, that is for certain. I don't know how long I am going
to be able to keep this up, Mother Nature always whens in my yard, it seems.
Thanks for correction. Hugs, Doll

Thank you so much for the visit comment and solve justgypsy, Well, Bjresh

This doll is adorable! I think, though that she is probably WWI. I googled WWII and WWI nursing uniforms and there are several places of photos, though none are exactly like hers. Try www.library.ccsu.edu. I hope that works. Thanks for sharing. One thing hasn't changed, hats are still designed for the school one attends but today no one wears them. I was an RN for 37 years :) I'm amazed at uniforms today, they are made to look like pumping gas uniforms. Mine was allowed to be 3inches above the knee! EVen in 1977. My first doctor boss told me to get rid of it At work, he was right. Thanks much Dollfriend.

Hi, Dollcollector. What beautiful condition she's in. My cousin was a nurse in the 1950s and wore a very correct looking uniform like this. Starched cap was a must! When my father was in hospital in WWII, he must have been tended by nurses dressed accordingly. This doll is so sweet. Thanks for sharing, Justgypsy.
