Juba1010

Lol. Thanks for finding that hippo. :-)

hippo

@Juba1010 I thought you were kidding...

msbonne

Is a Cattle Gird like a Cheese Curd?

asking for a friend.

Juba1010

The Kilchers made a cow bra for their milk cow.

Fowly

Looks like they are also Cattle Guards now.....but in most references the Aussie ones were called cattle grids. (just as in my younger days we had Railway Stations.....now they are Train Stations.). Thanks hippo for your brain teasers. Fay.

ParsonWayne

I use a griddle to cook beef burgers.

hippo

Down, racoon, down!!

racoonstar

Do we really want to go there?

https://static1.funidelia.com/50259-f6_big2/cow-costume.jpg

hippo

Shame, I was looking forward to your two cents' worth... :))

racoonstar

Yep, got #3.

And I'm not going to join the cattle girdle discussion.

hippo

Interesting, thanks. Wiki sort of implies you call them something else...

Fowly

Yes hippo, we DO have cattle grids in Aussie, they save people having to open gates on properties. And Hoff, I am no fisher woman, but stickleback came to mind as soon as I looked at the picture.

hippo

Congratulations @Fowly, @Juba1010 @nanab and all!

msbonne

It is silent.

Fowly

Yay, This is getting better!!! Got #s 1, 3 & 4. I "see' # 2 now I know the answer, but haven't heard it before.

hippo

Fore!!

Juba1010

2 out of 4 la la la.

Max_Tooney

Oops, my apologies. Just like my golf shots, I shanked my shin kick...

msbonne

Ouch

:::rubbing shin:::

Max_Tooney

I tried MULTIPLE times to give hints for the answer to #2. :::self-effacing shin kick:::

msbonne

It is dry humor.

Max_Tooney

No bars? Somebody better explain that to the cowpokes...

nanab

1.no 2.no 3.YES! 4. YES!

msbonne

Cattle guards.

Why would we call then grids, they are not gridlike, the are bars.

We cannot call them Cattle Bars, because they do not serve drinks.

hippo

Still well worth ⭐⭐, PW :))

ParsonWayne

I only got 2 + 3. :o(((

hippo

Do you call those bars to stop cattle going down the road cattle grids in Merica and elsewhere in the New World?

msbonne

Stickleback?

Must have been an English band - I never really followed them at all.

Nuclear Fission

Max is correct. In Merica, fissioning without license is a bad thing.

Top Dog

In Merica could also be called a Hot Dog.

Cattle Grid

Why would anyone want to gird their cattle?

Max_Tooney

(Fission license)

hippo

Answers without further ado:

#1: Stickleback.
#2: Nuclear fission. (Please groan quietly, neighbour's still asleep.)
#3: Top dog
#4: Cattle grid.

Fowly

Pretty sure about #s1,3 and 4. Still puzzling about #2.

racoonstar

#3 is easy, I'll leave the others to y'all.

Max_Tooney

Two is my favorite of the bunch.

msbonne

:::groan:::

Max_Tooney

:::squirming:::

nanab

I have 1, 3, and 4.

Max_Tooney

Maybe that's Lance Bass? Hard to tell--my computer screen is no longer NSYNC.

msbonne

A nuclear monkey. Cool.

Small scale bass are very rare.

Juba1010

I have #1 and #3 so far. Might have to consult my therapist for #4.

Max_Tooney

(Serves me right for being off the grid)

hippo

(a gem of a question)

Max_Tooney

(I Wanda which one is the fish?)

--Jamie Lee Curtis

hippo

I've just realised that #4 is maybe not so international. What we call a grid you call other names in USA and down under... but maybe also a grid...?

Max_Tooney

:::glowing:::

hippo

Nope, only one of them is a fish. Which you obviously got ( :)) )

Do not be misled by the monkey! #3 is very simple...

Max_Tooney

I suppose a 'license' could (sort of) be required for one of these puzzles...

Fowly

Hippo, do you mean they are all fish? Fay.

Fowly

Wow, when I was about to give up, I KNOW the first one. YAY.

Juba1010

Addicting is it hippo? My brain! It hurts!

Max_Tooney

It's hard to tell with that small scale...

Ms_Maddy

Wondering if that fish is a bass.

ParsonWayne

Random Thought:

Customer: This food isn't fit for a pig!

Waiter: I'm sorry Sir , I'll bring you some that is.

Max_Tooney

I'm just an over-reactor...Anyway, two of the solutions came to me immediately. The other two? Must. Have. Coffee.

hippo

One of the ANSWERS? Hm... not sure what I can do about that.

Which answer seems to be hurting, and why??

Max_Tooney

One of these answers is causing confusion for me...

Max_Tooney

Back by popular demand. Thanks, I enjoy these!

hippo

It's raining cats and dogs today, bunnies... and fish...
