Vintage poster, Carousel Ballroom 1969
Why are you reporting this puzzle?
The poster art created by Steve Catron to promote 1960s and 70s live music concerts, club dates and events is among the most collectible rock art of the period. This poster, called "Berry Dropper" is one of his best known.
The Carousel Ballroom was originally known as the El Patio Ballroom and dates back to the late 20's. It was located on the upper floor of a car dealership. In 1968, Bill Graham left the Fillmore Auditorium on Geary Street to take over the Carousel Ballroom, renaming it the Fillmore West... told ya - I got lots more posters!
Chuck Berry - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9kgu71d81U (I'll know if you watched this...)
Grateful Dead - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDuZfdf4hFQ&list=PLxmCyo4jldzVhRRrNDShxozlphlKow7Ml&index=5
Curly Cooks Hurdy Gurdy Band - I couldn't find any recordings - or even info - on this band... I got a lot of Donovan, a lot about the hurdy-gurdy, even got some stuff on Curly Howard of the Three Stooges... I have this, don't know if it's who we're lookin' for, but at this point, I don't care: James Curly Cooke is also referred to as just Curly Cooke, is a guitar player who worked with Steve Miller, Jerry Garcia, and Boz Skaggs. 'cept there's a difference between a guitar and a hurdy-gurdy... that's it. Go listen to Chuck Berry again - that's funny stuff.
