Hi Suzy and Monica. Suzy it's very multi cultural. In 2012 50.5 % of the residents was immigrant. In 2007 they did count 177 different languages in Amsterdam. And unfortunately most do not want to adapt to our western society. But Monica I think there are Chinese restaurants in your city too. I can't believe there is a place on the world without them. lol
Yes, even Las Vegas has a Chinese quarter, with all of their wonderful cuisine type of restaurants! The food is so scrumptious! And the shops go on and on forever down the streets that it takes two days just to get through all of them! It's quite fun actually, talking about it makes me want to go back! I should of known other cities would have that too!
Very cultural with all of the languages. Well chosen, Ank.
Thanks girls. Lyndee, that's just what I like so much. I'm glad you all like it.
Interesting street scene! Thank you Ank.
The international look!! Great!! Thanks so very much Ank!!
Looks like another fun area in Amsterdam to explore. Thanks, Ank!
I did not go here more than once, I suppose the chinese quarter is the same everywhere. I also like the street lights. Went to a lot of Indonesian restuarants, the food was delicious, I think its dying out a bit. Thanks Ank. HUgs. Think I feel hungry now:-))
Nice posting Ank. Love to see the rest of the world live.
Nice indeed. They are old fashion. I like them too.
It is a nice photo of an interesting looking street. I love the lamp posts!
I also think so Sandy. Every big city.
I guess there are Chinatowns everywhere. Thanks Ank.
Good morning/afternoon friends. This is China Town, so there are lots of Chinese shops and eateries. I don't know much about Amsterdam, so also not of this part. Maybe Denise can tell more. But when I look at the photo I see the old style of building, so it have to be an old section of the city.
Love it thanks Sis
Love it Ank, thanks! Everything is so stylish there, even the light post's are so fancy! There are lots of Chinese shops there, is this an old section of the city, you know like Calif. has an Old Town, and Nev. has an Old Town? Hard to tell from this pic as it's a very tight shot of the street!
Thank you Ank interesting, there's also a lot of Chinese or Vietnamese shops, have a nice day, enjoy it without SNOW :-)))))
