Thank you, PLG.
Very nice! Thank you, RH!
Thank you, Chickiemama, Texasstar7, Laurajane, and Schutkleur.Texasstar, the tree is a Norway spruce but I think it has reached its peak. They are all very tall, now, and this one is sparcely needled because of the shade from three others.Laurajane, it is the first time for us as well. It showed up sometime in August. We are delighted to have it.I will go and look at yours, Schutkleur. It will mean something now since I've seen them do it here. ; ) And, my husband took this photo and the other one with the nuthatch as well.
"My" birds do the same thing, Roseheather. See f.i. "nòg een hongerig pimpeltje " and "koolmees aan de maaltijd", puzzels from the last few days. In between bites they will look up or around. I think they just stay very alert when they are feeding.Great photo by the way. Thank you.
These little guys showed up at my feeders for the first time just this year. They are great little birds! And a very good shot, too, RH.
Very nice shot, RH. What kind of tree is that? It's beautiful.
Nice photo roseheather!
