How about "peepers: in the wet land that just to our north. REALLY.
That is even wilder, PLG, in my estimation! ; ) My husband heard "peepers" from that wet area near the high school, the school is our north neighbor just across the old fence row, when this whole area was farmland.
The wet area was preserved when the school was build in the early 70's and has been used by science classes. ; )
Well, sorry, lyndee, but I for one do not "love" this weather.
I do not feel well in the spring or summer, or in moderate temperatures in the fall. it makes it hard for me to breathe. When my house can be about 64 or 65 degrees I can breathe easier. We do not keep it that cold in the summer, even with AC, so summer and much of the spring are uncomfortable.
But you are very welcome to "love" this weather, I will endure. ; )
LOL rose ~ Yesterday I noticed a couple of my dianthus were blooming & had thought of taking a pic but thought, "Nay, nobody will believe me!" Now I see you would have!! This is after two significant snow storms this past month here in CT!
This whole year has been a little odd here - - my tangerines that normally ripen in October are not yet ripe enough to eat, and the navels are behind schedule, too. Most of my 3 dozen or so citrus bloomed a whole month early this year.
