Thanks, LindaAnnie! You could have seen it "in the flesh" this summer when I was working on it!
Lovely piece of needlework!
Great pic of the quilt quartina! You got a lot of nice comments too. Slowly working thru my bookmarks :)
Thank you quartina.
I have a love-hate relationship with plants and I kill orchids unless they are outside then it is up to mother nature.
Yarnover - the geese bowl is marked "Italia" on the bottom. It came from hubby's grandfather's house, probably from the 1920's or 30's.
It usually has a small green plant in it, but I recently killed it due to over-watering - I either do that, or completely forget to water plants!
Is the geese bowl by Belleek? It is lovely too.
What an incredible project.
Just gorgeous and more long lasting than a sunburn.
Thanks, ladies! It's a very simple pattern - that's why I chose it. This is the very LAST big quilt I'm making!
Wow, that is amazing. What a lucky cousin and her husband.
This is just beautiful and what workmanship Quartina!!!!!
Wow! A lot of hard work and a great job!
Thank you, chickiemama! That's about all I do anymore!
I don't do large puzzles, but saw this and want to comment. You did a beautiful job on this quartina!!!
I made this quilt this summer for the 50th Anniversary of my cousin Sally and her husband Tom. The design is called "Hugs & Kisses". . . . . also called X's and O's, or Kansas Dugout. I thought Hugs & Kisses appropriate for a wedding anniversary!
It is all hand-quilted. I will post a picture of a Hug and a Kiss!
