Enjoyed doing this puzzle, not sure if the Southwold branch was around when British Railways was formed. I remember the station at the end of pier avenue, it was where the new police and fire stations are. The Eastern Counties bus station used to be joined to W H Smiths, which was opposite what was the Railway Hotel. I also remember the postcards that were sold depicting the old railway in a comical way. The no 8 bus used to run between Halesworth and Southwold, it never ever connected with the London trains, often arrived at Halesworth station to see the bus disappearing under the railway bridge
