They are refuelling I think - not tugs. Usually a mini tanker comes alongside in port to refuel the ship - it's called bunkering
Tell me about the two side-by-side barges (tugs?). Do they have the power (ability) to push sideways, as in 90º? I guess I hadn't thought about that before. I'd have thought they'd have to approach a ship at an angle to push toward the pier. Thanks, Don. ~Gayle
