Oh, my, Parson....let's see if I can explain this to you.
Tocks are things traded on Wall Street... or something kept in dresser drawers.
(No, I don't know why anyone would want to "dress drawers".....as most artists wear clothes anyway.) Oh, Phooey, I'm getting confused!
Dusty (waiting to see if you can straighten this out)

ParsonWayne

Did the ticks come from a clock? A repairer of clocks have ways to make them tock.

dustydog

For now, about all we can do is purchase some flea and tick collars, to attach to our clothing....ankles...shirt sleeves, and I've even made loops of thread, so I can run a tick collar on the under side of my shirt collar. That helps, but we still have to do "tick checks" before we get too far into the house. Because one of my favorite places to go not only has ticks, but poison ivy, which I'm deathly allergic to. I have an old bedsheet that I use in my car, so I don't 'spread the oils. And I also slip on a pair of gloves, before I leave the area, so I don't get any oils on the steering wheel. Also put a sheet on the back seat of my vehicle, so that any oils that may have gotten on the dog doesn't 'contaminate the back seat, and lastly, when we get home, the dog gets a bath. (I only go to that spot a couple times each summer.)

Yes! Ticks suck! Yay NexGard! When will they make it for our T&L O's (what a great name for she that provides all things). Pax

dustydog

Ticks? You mean those little flat dark little bugs, that suck my blood?! Oh No! Good thing my "True and Loving Owner" gives me NexGard! The little rotters might get on me, but they don't attach. Instead, they brush off me, and go to my T.&L.O. and gets on them! At which point there is some 'interesting ' language. (I don't understand what the words are, but T.&L.O is NOT happy!
Dusty (perplexed)

Dustydog, you can have your wish...if you move to NC. But in exchange you have weeks more of terrible ticks. Your friend, Pax

ha ha Ground hog day. Ham loaf would be a good way to celebrate. Good one PW!

dustydog

Oh, Parson! You came up with an excellent comeback! Proud of you!
Dusty (groaning!)

jals

Tell Dusty that it's 5:30 here now and still light out. That's something to celebrate! :-))

ParsonWayne

I hope everyone in the U.S.A had some sausage or ham loaf today to celebrate Ground Hog Day.

puzzlelo

He is co cute and so smart! :)

jals

I'm all for that! Smart doggy!!

dustydog

I have an idea! (Oh, oh!) Let's see if we can, by popular vote, get winter shortened to just two weeks. Then we could add what would normally be winter to having l-o-n-g springs, and l-o-n-g Autumns!
Dusty (His idea! He's such a smart little dog!)

jals

Poor Dusty! While I would like Spring, I don't want Summer.

dustydog

I hope so! I wanna go out and roll in the grass! I wanna see something besides Mom and the wall, when we walk. (on the tread mill) I wanna walk down to the bank....they always give me a treat.
This morning, I went outside, it was so cold I "made" icicles! ( minus 7!)
Dusty (patiently waiting!)

Carol66

Don't worry Dusty. Even when he wakes up, he is often wrong and Spring will be here soon!
