The wooden boat shaped tail is just a design feature.

There is to much else going on, it would only be for show.

Is this actually amphibious, or is the boat section just for show?

Who could have guessed this was a Rolls Royce!

I think this is carrying "boat tail" too far, but someone had this thing built to order. Maybe we can be relieved that there is only one. Here is a bit of info on this car:
"Sold for 138,000 euros on February 6, 2014 in Paris by Bonhams. This Tourer 40 / 50HP originally fitted as a sedan by Thrupp & Maberly was transformed in Kenya into a "boat tip", a style very fashionable in the late 20s."

I would be happy to own it. A very different vehicle.

I think,,,,,,
Boat tail cars are supposed to look like that for air control.... upside down actually... not like this one.
It this a joke? Looks like the boat is right side up like it is going to be needed to float..??? ha ha..
and it is going backward???
I believe Donnajames is right.. sorry, this is a catastrophe. ha ha

Personally I think it would have made a better boat with a RR engine in it.

This has to be the ugliest car I have ever seen and I have seen some pretty bad ones. I can't believe RR would even consider building this. Boy, the doors are LOCKED on this one...lol dj
