Nice shot Pumpkin
My mom made wreaths out of bittersweet and used them to decorate. I just love bittersweet...and the memories it makes me remember. Great shot, pumpkin!
Beautiful and it looks sweet
Great colors, punkin!
Thanks pumpkinead - it's nice to learn about something new.
Very pretty, pumpkin!
Thank you for that information Robbie! I know there are a few species of bittersweet--the one I have pictured does NOT have thorns!! :)
A very colourful puzzle PKH and I found a very interesting article. The American Bittersweet vine is a protected species while the Oriental one is the invasive plant with thorns and smothers all other plants, even large trees! Thanks for the fun.
Ah yes, your annual smoking of the bird! Service for about 15-18? (Minus the ones you poison with garnish). Glad I haven't been invited! How long do you have to smoke the turkey?
I use it as a garnish, it gets rid of some guests who overstay their welcome. Mix it with the cranberries and pass the turkey. I must get ready since I have to smoke another 25 lb bird this year.
Thank you pumpkin for the information on bittersweet, it is cute.
beautiful picture sweety!
Bittersweet is in the nightshade family, shirley. Although it is known as being invasive, it really is quite pretty! :) Many people in the northeast use bittersweet as decoration in the fall.
This shot is from Cape Cod, MA.
