I'm cheering for the mouse. I know they can be destructive but they are so cute. Once while my mom was visiting, my cat brought a little field mouse inside. Mom scooped the cat up and tossed her down the stairs at me as I was coming up. Then she slammed the door at the top shut. The cat dropped the mouse, who buried his little head in the corner, butt up. Perhaps he was thinking "If I can't see you, you can't see me." I yelled for my mom to give me something to scoop the mouse up with, thinking I'd take it back outside and let it go. My mom slid a flyswatter under the door???? I did scoop up the mouse with my hands and let him go outside, where he hastily made his exit.
