OH! Of course :)) Once a teacher, always a teacher Bren. I remember a lovely elderly lady with dementia who would announce "Half a pound of biscuits, 6d a pound - that's threepence." She'd count up to 100 and back again in-between her mouthfuls of food too! So Clive is right I believe....

Brie1648

camemBERT!!
No, they just lose their class!

CJ45

I do not think so Lorna they stay that way all their lives. Thee Hee.

goingsilver

Um, who is Bert...? Do teachers ever really retire Clive? ;)

Brie1648

You guys are too kind! I love the cheesy compliments :o)) I suppose if I was Bert instead of Brie you could sat "Oh, come on Bert!"

CJ45

Oh, Brie it is the teacher coming out of you again and I thought you retired. LOL!!!!!

goingsilver

:)))

morris186

Because she is the witty round creamy one, aka: brie!!!! :))))
A wit like none other ....

Brie1648

goingsilver

Oh GROAN!!! How can you be so witty at this time of night?!

Brie1648

goingsilver

LOL!

Brie1648

I think it is really advertising the first bar-code

goingsilver

Whew, that's a relief then Bren!

Glad you like it too Cathy! Thanks.

cevas

Thanks Lorna. : ))

Brie1648

You're forgiven!

goingsilver

Lol Bren, perhaps they did! Just realised this sign was at GROSMONT station, not Pickering! Oops...

Brie1648

So I looked up the origin of the name...
Literature Review: "Axioematic Analysis of Brand Names in English: A Semantico-Pragmatic Approach to Branding". Available from: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/268815672_Axioematic_Analysis_of_Brand_Names_in_English_A_Semantico-Pragmatic_Approach_to_Branding [accessed Jul 24, 2017].3.3.- AXIOEMATIC DISTRIBUTION OF BRAND NAMES FOR CLEANING PRODUCTS: (A) Cleansers; (B) Washing powder and conditioners; (C) Cleaning paper; (D) Polish; (E) Others. A. GENERIC POSITIVE EVALUATION: - Imp (A); Symbolic positiveness (light): - **Brillo (E), - **Duraglit (D); - **Zebrite (D).

Perhaps they just liked Zebras....

goingsilver

Poor creature is probably rueing the choice of name of the grate polish and wishing it could have been used to promote something more glamorous!
